This study intended to examine the effects of game-based learning on Iranian EFL learners’ language anxiety and motivation. In order to perform the study, the quantitative research method was applied. In this study, 58 Iranian intermediate EFL participants were selected and divided into two groups: control and experimental. Then, the questionnaires of the Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) and Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) were administered to the participants of both groups as the pretests of the study. After pretesting, 90 English vocabulary items were trained to the EG by using game-based learning, but the same vocabulary items were taught to the CG traditionally. After teaching the vocabularies, the mentioned questionnaires were administered again as the post-tests of the study. The results of independent samples t-tests revealed that implementing game-based learning had the potential of reducing EFL learners’ anxiety to improve their English learning. Also, the results indicated that applying game-based learning increased the language motivation of Iranian EFL learners.
This study aims to obtain an overview of the behavior of the internet and social media users in learning. The research was conducted by surveying 99 students, students, and teachers in Muhammadiyah schools in East Jakarta. The survey results show that most respondents use it for pleasure-seeking activities, and the second is learning. Internet security and skills are generally well mastered. Therefore, the behavior in learning using social media and the internet is quite positive in the younger generation's perceptions. Social media and the internet can be a means of learning, sharing, and are not believed to hurt their learning.
Tujuan penelitian ini 1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di UPT SDN 102 Pudukku Kabupaten Enrekang. 2) Untuk mengetahui Faktor Pendukung supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di UPT SDN 102 Pudukku Kabupaten Enrekang. 3) Untuk mengetahui Faktor Penghambat supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di UPT SDN 102 Pudukku Kabupaten Enrekang. Jenis penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis datanya display data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Gambaran supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di UPT SDN 102 Pudukku Kabupaten Enrekang melalui 8 teknik belum dilaksanakan secara menyeluruh tapi hanya beberapa teknik yang dilaksanakan yaitu teknik kunjungan kelas, rapat dewan guru dan staf. Namun, teknik demonstrasi mengajar dikelas dan penerbitan buletin belum dilakukan; 2) Faktor pendukung supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di UPT SDN 102 Pudukku Kabupaten Enrekang yaitu tujuan pendidikan telah dipahami oleh guru, dan adanya umpan balik dari pengawas; 3) Faktor penghambat supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di UPT SDN 102 Pudukku Kabupaten Enrekang adalah penggunaan waktu yang tidak efektif dan efisien, dan tidak adanya standar pelaksanaan supervisi oleh supervisor.
This study intends to examine factors reasoning students' withdrawal from school, and formulate strategy or model to attract and retain them until finishing their education. This research was motivated by the indicator of Rough Participation Rates and Educational Pure Participation Rates showing an imbalance. Children of compulsory school-age who register at each level of education (elementary, junior high, and high school or equivalent) are not all able to complete their schooling. This means that schools must strive to minimize the number of students' withdrawal. Although, there have been many programs launched by the government to stimulate access to education, they had not been able to increase community participation in education. Data in this research were obtained by using Google form electronic data access. It was shared to 200 students aged 12 to 16 years old from 5 different schools. However, only 174 respond it. In addition, the data were also collected through doing interviews and analyzing of the relevant documents. Present study reveals that broken home, experiencing bullying, financial matter, and disinterest in education are the students' motives dropping out school. Hence, the recommendations of strategy overcoming the issue were growing students' academic motivation, providing the quality of school services, and applying an attractive learning procedure. Scheme formulation-developed, meant to maintain students, makes them feel at home, and remain in school.
Guru berkewajiban untuk melakukan publikasi karya ilmiah sebagai salah satu syarat kenaikan pengajuan kenaikan pangkat. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dengan judul Pelatihan Penyusunan Struktur Proposal dan Hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) pada Guru SDN 038 Karama Tinambung Kab. Polewali Mandar diangkat sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah baik dalam bentuk rencana penelitian dan hasil penelitian yang sesuai dengan sistematika dan struktur penelitian. Lebih lanjut lagi hasil karya ilmiah yang telah ditulis tersebut dapat disusun menjadi artikel untuk dipublikasikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode diklat yakni memberikan pemaparan materi disertai latihan bagi guru-guru terkait penuyusunan proposal dan hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menujukkan bahwa seebanyak 100% peserta pelatihan setuju bahwa kegiatan ini penting dilakukan, 56 % peserta mampu menyusun rencana dan hasil penelitian PTK.
