Although sex-linkage in animals is no longer an unusual phenomenon, its apparent rarity in rodents is noteworthy, especially in the intensively studied house mouse and rat. Hauschka, et al.,1 have presented evidence for a sex-linked lethal altering the sex ratio in the house mouse; Falconer2 recently reported a second sex-linked mutation in the house mouse.
