Graphical representations of classical Friedmann's models are often misleading when one considers the age of the universe. Most textbooks disregard conceptual differences in the representations, as far as ages are concerned. We discuss the details of the scale-factor versus time function for Friedmann's solutions in the time range that includes the ages of model universes. Keywords: cosmology, Friedmann equation, cosmological models.
A classification scheme for close pairs of galaxies is proposed. The scheme is motivated by the fact that the majority of apparent close pairs are in fact wide pairs in three-dimensional space. This is demonstrated by means of numerical simulations of random samples of binary galaxies and the scrutiny of the resulting projected and spatial separation distributions.Observational strategies for classifying close pairs according to the scheme are suggested. As a result, physical (i.e., bound and spatially) close pairs are identified.
Palavras-chave: teoria da relatividade geral, cosmologia, modelos de Friedmann, modelo de Einstein.I briefly present the foundations of relativistic cosmology, general relativity theory and the cosmological principle. I discuss some relativistic models, namely, "Einstein static universe" and "Friedmann universes". The classical bibliographic references for the relevant tensorial demonstrations are indicated whenever necessary, although the calculations themselves are not shown. Keywords: general relativity theory, cosmology, Friedmann models, Einstein model.
Introduction : An elderly woman will experience menopause. This condition must immediately get good treatment so that the quality of life of these women is good or improved. For this reason, it is necessary to know the factors that affect the quality of life of post-menopausal women. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the quality of life of postmenopausal women. Method: Literature Review, by searching the Pubmed, ProQuest, Science Direct and Google scholar databases. Obtained 7 articles to be included in the review. Results: The factors that affect the quality of life of postmenopausal women are the use of hormonal supplements in the form of phytoestrogens, active in sexual activity, physical exercise, class activities and counseling. Conclusion: Good sexual activity will improve the quality of life of postmenopausal women, in addition to attending counseling classes, adding phytoestrogen supplements and using lubricants or liquid lubricants to prevent infection..
Background: Effective and continuity discharge planning is vital in care continuity and integrated care. Continuity discharge planning can reduce avoidable hospital readmission, and fulfillment improves the quality of care. Prevention efforts to prevent the re-attacks and readmission because of this CVA attack should be started early before the patients return home from the hospital. Purpose: This research aims to review the effect of discharge planning on the readiness of returning home in CVA patients. Methods: We included english materials published between Science Direct, PubMed, Research Gate, and Google Scholar that were used to find studies on discharge planning, readiness, and transitional care between 2016- 2021. Results: Discharge planning is carried out in three-stage, inpatient admission and intra-hospital when the patient is about to be discharged from the hospital. In the first stage, the nurse explains patient admission, regulation, and management when the patient enters the hospital. The second stage is when the patient is hospitalized, which consists of nurses providing education about medication, environment, health, outpatient referral, and diet. While the last stage is when the patient will be discharged, the nurse explains the control, medication, and nutrition schedule at home. Post-stroke rehabilitation and recovery is a chronic process. Conclusion: Review of discharge planning can be influenced by several factors: individual characteristics (clients' potential with special needs early, motivation), family factors (social resources, home environment), and health care system (teaching home care skills with community/ hospital professionals. These factors will affect the implementation of discharge planning in health services which is hospital accreditation.
This study aims to investigate, in dubbed and subtitled versions of the films Madagascar (2005) and Ice Age (2002), how fixed expressions (Moon, 1998) are translated in dubbing and subtitling methods and to examine how employing domestication and foreignisation (Venuti, 1995) can undermine or reinforce the asymmetrical relations, here defined by globalisation as discussed by Venuti (1998) and Cronin (2003, 2009). The analysis is carried out through reference and parallel corpus (Baker, 1995). Final results show that subtitling, rather than dubbing, is more prone to adopt foreignising strategies with regard to the translation of fixed expressions. Additionally, there have been identified, in the subtitled versions of the corpus, translation instances that deliberately move away from target language fixed expressions.
