Tosylazid addiert sich in stark alkalischem Medium an Malodinitril unter der Bildung von 5‐Tosylamino‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐carbonitril (1). Methylierungen mit Dimethylsulfat (zu 2‐4 und 5‐8), die Synthese von 1 aus 12, verschiedene Abbaureaktionen (1→14,1→16 und 1→17) sowie die Umwandlung von 1 in das Diazotriazol 21 stellen die Struktur des Adduktes sicher und schließen ein Triazenisomeres E aus.
Arornatische Diazoniurnsalze geben die Elektrophilie der N2-Gruppe in erster Linie durch ihre Kupplungsaktivitat zu erkennen. Die analoge Reaktion aliphatischer Diazoverbindungen wurde erst in neuerer Zeit systernatisch untersucht.Wir fanden, daR die bei der Diazogruppen-Ubertragung 1) auf trans-fixierte P-Dicarbonylverbindungen (1) mit der halbmolaren Menge Tosylazid primar entstehenden Diazoverbindungen 2 und iiberschiissiges 1 zu symmetrischen cr.cr'-Azo-P-dicarbonylverbindungen (3) kuppeln2). Diesen Vorgang kann man, im Hinblick auf die Struktur von 3, auch als Azogruppen-ubertragung bezeichnen3).
4-Nitro-benzylcyanid reagiert rnit p-Tosylazid in Pyridin in Gegenwart von Ammoniak, prim. und sek. Aminen unter Einbau der Basen zu 4.4'-Dinitro-cc-amino-a'-cyan-benzaldazinen (4a-k). Sieht man von der thermischen Isomerisierung von 4a zum Triazin 6a ab, so erfolgt im sauren Medium RingschluB von 4a-d zu den 5-0~0-4.5-dihydro-l.2.4-triazinen 7ad unter gleichzeitiger Verseifung der Iminogruppe. Dagegen gehen die Azine 4eg einmal unter Abspaltung des N-Alkylrestes in 5-Imino-3.6-bis-[4-nitro-phenyl]-4.5-dihydro-1.2.4-triazin (6a) uber, zum anderen erfolgt unter Abspaltung von Cyanwasserstoff RingschluB zu den 1.2.4-Triazolen 9e-g.
Arensulfonylazide, und zwar vorzugsweise p‐Tosylazid, reagieren mit Verbindungen, die aktive Methylengruppen aufweisen, in Gegenwart einer Base formal unter Austausch einer Diazogruppe gegen zwei Wasserstoffatome, wobei Diazoverbindungen neben Arensulfonsäureamiden entstehen. Die Methode eignet sich zur Synthese der Diazoderivate von Cyclopentadienen, Cyclohexadienen, 1,3‐Dicarbonyl‐, 1,3‐Disulfonyl‐ und 1,3‐Ketosulfonyl‐Verbindungen, von Ketonen, Carbonsäureestern und ß‐Iminoketonen. Folgereaktionen der Diazosynthese können zu Azoverbindungen und Heterocyclen wie 1,2,3‐Triazolen, 1,2,3‐Thiadiazolen und Pyrazolin‐4‐onen führen. Azidiniumsalze reagieren nach dem gleichen Schema, aber im sauren Bereich, was zuweilen Vorteile bringt.
