Empowerment of Human Resources (HR) is directed to increase HR participation in organizations and increase productivity. The results of various studies show that HR is a determinant of productivity. HR in the field of education can be grouped into three groups, namely the principal, teachers, and TAS. School competitiveness is also determined by the human resources it has. This research was conducted in a pesantren-based Junior High School (SMP) in East Java. The schools which are the research sites are: (1) SMP Insan Terpadu Probolinggo; (2) SMP Assa'adah Gresik; dan (3) SMP An Nur Bululawang Malang. This research refers to the Model of Empowerment of Islamic Boarding School-Based Human Resources Empowerment with Soft System Methodology Approach that has been designed. Researchers take quantitative measurements of the variables that impact the existence of the model. The variables measured were six variables, namely: learning leadership, change leadership, spiritual leadership, school culture, professional ethics, and teacher teaching performance. The method to be used is quantitative research. Measurement of the six variables is using a questionnaire instrument. The analysis that will be used is descriptive and regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of learning leadership, change leadership, spiritual leadership, school culture, and professional ethics on the teaching performance of pesantren-based junior high schools in East Java.
Professional ethics is something that teachers need to uphold in carrying out their profession. The application of professional ethics is rooted in school culture as an educational institution that upholds the values and norms of society. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a significant influence of school culture variables (X) on professional ethics (Y). To answer this hypothesis, then make this research use quantitative research. The instrument used to measure the research variables was a closed questionnaire, so respondents chose alternative answers provided. The respondents of this study consisted of 31 people, consisting of: 1 principal; 20 teachers; and 10 school administrators. The study was conducted at Junior High School An Nur, Bululawang, Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Data analysis uses simple regression. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there was an influence of school culture (X) on professional ethics (Y), with a regression coefficient of 0.537. The formed regression equation is Ŷ = 28.923 + 0.43X.Abstrak: Etika profesi merupakan hal yang perlu dijunjung tinggi oleh para guru dalam melaksanakan tugas profesi guru. Penerapan etika profesi berakar pada budaya sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang menjunjung tinggi nilai dan norma kemasyarakat. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh yang signifikan variabel budaya sekolah (X) terhadap etika profesi (Y). Untuk menguji hipotesis tersebut, maka penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel penelitian adalah angket tertutup, sehingga responden memilih alternatif jawaban yang telah disediakan. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 31 orang, terdiri dari: 1 orang kepala sekolah; 20 orang guru; dan 10 orang tenaga administrasi sekolah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP An Nur Bululawang Malang Jawa Timur. Analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data disimpulkan ada pengaruh budaya sekolah (X) terhadap etika profesi (Y), dengan koefisien regresi 0,537. This research aims to describe; (1) the strength of the school committee; (2) forms of school committee involvement; (3) the headmaster that strategy involves school committee; (4) obstacles of the school committee; (5) committee's problem solving alterative in SDN Blimbing 4 Malang. This research uses qualitative approach with case study research type. The data collection techniques are that used observation, interview and documentation. Based on the process of collecting and analyzing, the result of the obtained data are: (1) the strength of the committee derived comes from the readiness, the alertness to solve the problem, the clear division of labor, and the good coordination; (2) forms of committee involvement are: holding meetings, raising funds, controlling the finances, directing and involving parents in the program, reporting the results of activities to parents; (3) the strategy of the headmaster involves the committees are coordinating, approaching, and becoming a role model; (4) the obstacle of school committee constraints such as committee managers are rarely complete during meetings, the guardian objected to donate voluntary; (5) the problem solving alternatives are the absent committee board is replaced by another committee, and take personal approach. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan proses pengumpulan dan analisis data didapatkan hasil, yaitu: (1) kekuatan komite berasal dari keaktifan, kesigapan menindaklanjuti masalah, pembagian kerja yang jelas, dan koordinasi yang baik; (2) bentuk-bentuk pelibatan komite yaitu: mengadakan pertemuan, menggalang dana, mengontrol keuangan, mengarahkan dan melibatkan orang tua dalam program, melaporkan hasil kegiatan kepada orang tua; (3) strategi kepala sekola melibatkan komite yaitu berkoordinasi, melakukan pendekatan-pendekatan, dan kepala sekolah menjadi tauladan; (4) kendala-kendala komite sekolah diantaranya pengurus komite jarang lengkap saat pertemuan, wali murid keberatan saat sumbangan sukarela; (5) alternatif pemecahan masalah yakni pengurus yang tidak hadir digantikan dengan pengurus lainnya, melakukan pendekatan secara personal.
The aim of community service is the establishment of a good and correct library management system for the two partner schools and the preparation of a primary school library management manual. The target audience includes 2 partner schools, namely SDN Sentul 1 and SDN Sentul 2, Purwodadi District, Pasuruan Regency. This activity involved the Community Service Team consisting of 4 lecturers and 4 students as resource persons and assistants, and teachers in 2 partner schools who served as librarians in each school. The method of implementation is the classical approach and individual approach. This library management assistance activity produced results in the form of a library management system in the two partner schools properly and correctly. Based on the results of the evaluation, it can be concluded that this service activity was successful in achieving its objectives. The benefit that can be obtained through this activity is the strengthening of the school literacy movement.Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu tersusunnya sistem pengelolaan bahan pustaka yang baik dan benar pada kedua sekolah mitra dan tersusunnya buku panduan pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah dasar. Khalayak sasaran kegiatan ini meliputi 2 sekolah mitra yaitu SDN Sentul 1 dan SDN Sentul 2 Kecamatan Purwodadi Kabupaten Pasuruan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang terdiri dari 4 orang dosen dan 4 orang mahasiswa sebagai narasumber dan pendamping, dan guru di 2 sekolah mitra yang bertugas sebagai pustakawan di masing-masing sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan yaitu pendekatan klasikal dan pendekatan individual. Kegiatan pendampingan pengelolaan perpustakaan ini memberikan hasil berupa tersusunnya sistem pengelolaan bahan pustaka pada kedua sekolah mitra dengan baik dan benar. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini berhasil dalam mencapai tujuan. Manfaat yang bisa diperoleh melalui kegiatan ini yaitu terjadi penguatan gerakan literasi sekolah.
This research aimed to know the level of empowerment of the principal of boarding house-based Junior High School in East Java, Indonesia. The research method used in this research was a descriptive quantitative method. This research was conducted in boarding house-based Junior High School in East Java Province, Indonesia. The samples were taken using a stratified random sampling technique. The research subjects were principals. The research instrument used was the questionnaire measuring the level of the empowerment of the principal with 61 items of the question. The data analysis employed was descriptive statistic by calculating the mean, standard deviation, and descriptive analysis of the category of each from 61items scores. The level of the empowerment of the principal was determined based on the high categorized-percentage from the descriptive analysis result of the category of each item namely it is high if it is ≥ 50%, and it is low if it is < 50%. Based on the descriptive analysis, the mean was 4.31 and the standard deviation was 0.46. The descriptive analysis results of every item category were from 61 items, there were 29 items (47.54%) categorized high while the rests were 32 items (52.46%) in the low category. Besides, the results showed that the level of empowerment of the principal was lowly categorized (47.54%).
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership style, managerial ability, self-efficacy, and learning achievement on work readiness of students of the Faculty of Education, State University of Malang. This study uses a quantitative approach. The design or design of this study is an ex-post-facto cross-sectional survey and is included in the descriptive-causality research type. The population of this research is all of the management of Ormawa Faculty of Education, State University of Malang. Based on the calculation of Krejcie and Morgan Table (1970), the total population was 269 students, taken as a sample of 158 students. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Analysis of the data that will be used in this study are: (1) descriptive analysis; (2) regression analysis; and (3) path analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, this study concludes: (1) there is a significant influence of leadership style (X1) on students' work readiness (Y); (2) there is a significant influence of managerial ability (X2) on student work readiness of Ormawa (Y); (3) there is a significant effect of self-efficacy (X3) on student work readiness of Ormawa (Y); (4) there is a significant effect of learning achievement (X4) on student work readiness of Ormawa (Y); and (5) there is a significant influence of leadership style (X1), managerial ability (X2), selfefficacy (X3), and learning achievement (X4) on students' work readiness (Y).
