RESUMO Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir a perspectiva “decolonial” de Aníbal Quijano (1930-2018) e seus usos a partir de José Carlos Mariátegui. Em primeiro lugar, relacionamos o contexto histórico latino-americano desde a década de 1980 ao esforço de interpretação de Mariátegui por Aníbal Quijano, balizado, sobretudo, pela formulação de uma teoria fundacional (filosófica, epistemológica, ética e política) sobre a especificidade da América Latina. Na sequência, Quijano redescobre, assim, certo Mariátegui associado à renovação crítica da teoria social latino-americana. Através de múltiplos mecanismos de difusão, ele estabelece uma reconhecida caracterização filosófica e epistemológica do arsenal mariateguiano, visto como bastião da crítica eurocêntrica (“racionalidade alternativa”), para legitimá-lo como referência fundamental da teoria da “colonialidade do poder”.
Resumo Florestan Fernandes é um dos pioneiros na divulgação da obra de José Carlos Mariátegui no Brasil. O objetivo central deste artigo é analisar e interpretar algumas manifestações do encontro entre Florestan e Mariátegui. Em primeiro lugar, levantaremos algumas das principais ocorrências da obra do pensador peruano nos textos, entrevistas e intervenções públicas do sociólogo brasileiro. Em segundo lugar, disponibilizaremos o resultado de uma pesquisa no arquivo Fundo Florestan Fernandes, que lança luz sobre o trabalho materializado ao longo das leituras feitas por Florestan: são inúmeros grifos, anotações, questionamentos inscritos nos livros do pensador peruano que o sociólogo tinha disponíveis em sua biblioteca particular. Assim, procuraremos reforçar a ideia de que muitos dos problemas levantados pelo Amauta no Peru na década de 1920 e, por extensão, na América Latina, suscitaram realmente o interesse daquele que é considerado o maior sociólogo brasileiro.
O passado se torna presente em função da realização dos possíveis implicados objetivamente nesse passado. Henri Lefebvre ResenhaSe pudéssemos arriscar sobre qual a raiz dos desdobramentos teóricos e metodológicos na Sociologia de José de Souza Martins (2008), um dos mais importantes cientistas sociais do Brasil, seria a célebre frase de Marx: "Os homens fazem sua própria história, mas não a fazem como querem". Ela emite, com efeito, um descompasso social permanente entre o homem produtor de sua história e o que se separa dela.Nesse desencontro do homem com a história é que se promovem "tempestades" dos ritmos desiguais do desenvolvimento histórico capitalista. A sociabilidade do homem simples tem exatamente como objetivo esgueirar-se na situação do reencontro possível do homem consigo mesmo, na singularidade latino-americana e, mais especificamente, na brasileira.O livro é composto por ensaios e entrevistas, dos quais o professor emérito da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) também propõe avaliação, analisando tal temática, com propostas metodológicas claras, a fim de que se construam condições pertinentes para uma compreensão e para futuras pesquisas sociológicas.As relações entre homem simples, vida cotidiana e história são ponto precípuo de suas pesquisas históricas e sociológicas, seja -só para ficarmos em alguns exemplos -em sua investigação acerca da vida social do subúrbio em São Caetano, seja dos imigrantes espanhóis, seja, ainda, do estudo agrário e dos camponeses do Brasil, etc.
