DIFFICULTIES OF EVALUATION IN A PHARMACEUTICS PROGRAMAbstract: The evaluation of learning has been considered one of the most complex activities and controversial between the professors, especially when it is related to the university environment of programs in the health area in which most of the faculty do not have pedagogical preparation. The aim was to understand the difficulties of evaluation in the process of teaching and learning of a Pharmacy Program. For this, two questionnaires were applied covering 61.3% of professors and 56.6% of students, where it was possible to observe that 85% of both professors and students interviewed attribute the significance of school evaluation to the measure the knowledge of the student, indicating the strong technicist influence. However, there has been a tendency of professors to use several instruments to diagnose the learning of students, announcing an important change toward an emerging paradigm that calls for more humanized relations. Furthermore, it is possible to note that the students point out the instruments referred to as "exams" more often than the professors. Moreover, another problem identified by professors related to the misunderstanding of texts and poor motivation for pedagogical preparation. It has been suggested to include an additional diagnostic tool for monitoring of progress of the student: the portfolio. In conclusion, professionalization should be strongly recommended for professors in order...
The umbu-cajazeira (Spondia sp), belongs to the Anacardiaceae family, which has antioxidant properties. The objective of this work was to develop and evaluate the UVA and UVB photoprotective effect, antioxidant action and stability of the cream with extract of Spondia sp leaves. The organoleptic characteristics and pH of the cream were evaluated during 28 days. The antioxidant activity was evaluated using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical inhibition method, and the dilutions were analyzed in a spectrophotometer at 517 nm. The collected data were evaluated using ANOVA analysis of variance (p < 0.05). The samples containing Spondia sp extract did not undergo significant changes regarding appearance, color and odor. The developed cream presented antioxidant activity with inhibition close to 80% at dilution of 10 mg.mL-1. The scanning performed showed that the raw materials and the cream are able to absorb ultraviolet light from 290 to 400 nm.
The objective of this studywas to evaluate the UVA and UVB photoprotective effect and the antioxidant activity of dermatological cream developed with umbu-cajá (Spondias sp) extracts. The antioxidant activity of the cream was evaluated by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazine (DPPH) radical inhibition method in triplicate, and the dilutions were evaluated by spectrophotometer, with the absorbance values determined at 517 nm. The evaluation of UVB and UVB photoprotective capacity was performed according to Mansur method and determining the UVA / UVB ratio and the critical wavelength. The developed cream showed antioxidant activity with inhibition close to 80% at 10 mg.mL-1dilution. The spectrophotometer scan showed that the inputs and the cream can absorb ultraviolet light from 290 to 400 nm. The cream with umbu-cajá extract studied had antioxidant and photoprotective properties UVA / UVB and can be used as anti-aging cosmetic.
