The objective of the study was to verify the influence of the involvement of the productive team and the frequency of interaction in the operational performance of new products. It was also verified if the frequency of interaction moderates the relation between the involvement of the productive team and the operational performance. Using a descriptive and quantitative approach, we collect data from a sample that consisted of 86 companies from the productive sector. Data analysis was performed using Modeling Structural Equations. The results showed that the Internal Involvement has influence of 22.6% on the Operational Performance and the frequency of interaction an influence of 34.1%. The strength of the loop (frequency of interaction) as a moderating variable between Internal Team Involvement and Operational Performance was not significant. Thus, it is suggested that internal involvement influences operational performance, but the frequency of interactions with the internal team is more significant than the integration itself.
