The meta-analysis study revealed in the majority of studies that doses lower than 60 mg/kg/day were not enough to achieve desirable vancomycin plasma concentrations "area under the curve in 24 h/minimum inhibitory concentration >400 (AUC/MIC>400) or trough 10-20 mg/L" to control bacterial infections in pediatrics.
Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) is an annual plant belonging to subfamily Chenopodiaceae containing such granite importance, being considered a pseudocereal. For the quinoa to gain widespread attention, to the point of achieving large scale cultivation in Brazil it is necessary for the studies to advance specially in regards to quality of produced seeds. The main aim of this work was to evaluate potential of quinoa seed’s production cultivated in different seasons, as well as quality of seeds produced on primary and secondary stalks of quinoa plants from BRS Piabiru, produced in the South of Rio Grande do Sul (RS), Brazil. The evaluated seeding seasons were October, November and December, June, July and August of the years 2015/2016, after the plants were taken to evaluation regarding agronomical characters (fresh mass of ramification glomeruli, main glomeruli, fresh mass of stem from the main, fresh mass of stem ramification, fresh mass of leaves, dry mass of stem ramification, stem from the main, glomeruli from the main, stem ramification, of leaves, diameter of stem and panicle lenght) and quality of seeds (germination, test of cold, accelerated aging, and seed’s emergency). Quality of the seed is assured when it’s produced after months of July, August and November, given that quality of seeds from main stem is superior.
O cerrado presents a diversity of fruit species known and used by the population, these species present big potential economic and ecological, awakening the interest industries, in addition to presenting source income for local population. The cagaiteira (Eugenia dysenterica) is an typical tree do cerrado presents a great potential, however o consumption its fruit still is little diffused by the population that many times is unaware of its health benefits. O goal of this work was bring information for the population of the micro-region of Sete Lagoas on the potentialities natural that o cerrado presents, so that there a greater preservation of the cagaiteiras present region in, being able to be used as an alternative source of feeding interfering significantly in the improvement of feeding and contribution nutritional. The results have shown that the this work interventions of contributed to a better dissemination of information on the cagaita promoting a better use of this species fruitful through the population.
The aim of this study was to analyze soybean seed physiological quality after being subjected to various mixtures of pesticides via industrial seed treatment. The experiment was performed at the seed laboratory of the company BioGrow, located at São Paulo-SP, using soybean seeds cultivar NS 6700 IPRO which were subjected to 11 different treatments. Seed treatment was carried out using a treater Momesso, model L5-K, calibrated to apply a spray volume of 0.5 L 100 kg-1 of seeds in which the volume of each treatment was adjusted using distilled water. After treatment, seeds were spread over plastic strays for drying for a period of 24 hours under environmental conditions. Once dry, seeds were packed in paper bags and stored for 0 (control), 45, 90, 135 and 180 days, under uncontrolled conditions of temperature and relative humidity, when seed physiological quality was evaluated using the following tests: germination, accelerated aging, seedling emergence, speed of emergence index and speed of emergence. Soybean industrial seed treatment before storage for up to 180 days is practicable using the mixtures of pesticides tested for storing seeds under environmental conditions. All treatments tested contribute to the maintenance of seed quality throughout storage.
