Sicydiinae gobies have been widely collected and identified throughout tropical indo-pacific, except in Karama River, Mamuju, West Sulawesi, Indonesia. Penja was the Gobi fish’s local name, where the pelvic disc is adherent to the belly. This study aims to describe the habitat and growth patterns of genus Sicyopterus in Karama river, which passes through three sub-districts from upstream to downstream. The research was conducted in Karama River from four sites: Kalumpang, Bonehau, Arassi, and Kalonding. Fish growth was described by Deroberts and William model, and continued with habitat characteristics. The total number of fish from four sites about 71 adults Gobiidae fish, identified as family Gobiidae: Sicyopterus longifilis and Sicyopterus pugnans. The average growth pattern in all sites is isometric negative (b<3), except in the Kalumpang sites, growth pattern for Sicyopterus longifilis is isometric (b=3) whereas in Sicyopterus pugnans in the Kalumpang sites growth pattern is positive allometric (b>3).
Passion fruit (Passifloraceae) was derived from tropical South America. Kind of passion fruit that widely cultivated in South Sulawesi is purple passion fruit (Passiflora edulis). This study aimed to observe the activity of Passiflora edulis chromosome at different stages of cell division and observed active mitosis time. The study was conducted by using exploratory descriptive study and obtained results a mitotic on Passiflora edulis occurs at 09.00 until 15.00 pm. Prophase seen in 5 minute after observation, prometaphase in 80 minute after the first observation, metaphase in 154 minutes after the first observation, anaphase in 227 minutes after the first observation, and telophase in 317 minutes after the first observation.
Plant genetic diversity is an emerging variation in a crop group caused by its genetic factors. Local corn germplasm as a source of plant genes that are able to adapt to the local environment. The purpose of this research is to obtain information on genetic variation of Tana Toraja local maize germ plasm using SSR (Simple Sequence Repeat) marker. This research was conducted at Balitsereal Molecular Biology Laboratory, Agricultural Research Agency in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. A total of 4 local maize populations were analyzed by laboratory experimental method with observation with NTSYS pc 2.1 program. The results showed that the average number of alleles was 3.72 alleles per locus and the polymorphism rate of 0.53 with the genetic similarity coefficient was in the range of 0.47 to 0.85. 2 main clusters formed in the genetic similarity coefficient 0.47. Klaster I is Local DallePondan and Local Purple. Klaster II is Local Bebo and Kandora. The genetic distance is in the range of 0.15 to 0.74 with an average genetic distance of 0.46. From the data obtained shows that the 4th germplasm of the population of Tana Toraja Local maize diteleti has a very informative level of genetic diversity. Genetic diversity of local maize germplasm of Tana Toraja, can be used as a source of genes in the assembly of improved varieties in the future.
This study aimed to determine the microbiological quality of street food at campus II State Islamic University (UIN) Alauddin Makassar. This descriptive research describes contaminant Coliform bacteria and Escherichia coli in a sample street food in Campus II UIN Alauddin Makassar through Microbiological test. Counting the number of Coliform bacteria found in street food and Escherichia coli found in snack through methods Coliform MPN (Most Probable Number). The research was conducted at the Center for Health Laboratory Makassar (BBLK). These results obtained for Coliform MPN showed that levels of total Coliform bacteria were highest in Siomay code C = > 1,100 Coliform/g, this means that the sample does not qualify because it is not in accordance with the National Standards Board and ISO-7388-2009 the maximum limit value = 10 Coliform MPN/g. In Siomay code A = 240 Coliform/g, Batagor code B = 1.100 Coliform/g, and meatball code D = > 1,100 Coliform/g. Thus, it was concluded that this value is generally illustrates that coliform bacteria content in snack foods sold in the Campus II UIN Alauddin Makassar, low quality and already exceeds the threshold required quality standard that is healthy and nutritious food for our body. The MPN of Escherichia coli showed that the total levels of Escherichia coli are the highest in Siomay code C = > 1,100 E. coli/g, this means that the sample does not qualify because it is not according to the National Standardization Agency and SNI 7388-2009 which limits Escherichia coli MPN maximum value = < 3 E. coli/g. In Siomay code A = 240 E.coli/g, Batagor code B = 3,6 E. coli/g, and meatball code D => 120 E. coli/g. Thus, it was concluded that this value is generally illustrates that the content of Escherichia coli in street food sold in the Campus II UIN Alauddin Makassar, low quality and already exceeds the threshold.
