O presente artigo foi produzido com o objetivo de discutir as formas como turismo tem se desenvolvido e a importância do planejamento dessa atividade com fins sustentáveis e responsáveis. Nesse sentido, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica para embasar as ponderações sobre como a atividade se constituiu e como as mudanças sociais ocorridas, especialmente com o advento da tecnologia, tem propiciado novos modos de vivenciar as experiências turísticas e como o mercado tem se comportado no sentido de absorver tais modificações, evidenciando-se o surgimento de formas alternativas de práticas turísticas. No texto são abordados conceitos sobre o turismo, desenvolvimento, pós-modernidade e planejamento, como a finalidade de propor reflexões críticas sobre como o turismo pode vir a ser realmente desenvolvido de modo responsável.
Resumo: O presente artigo pretende trazer à discussão algumas questões sobre o relacionamento entre o mercado turístico e o comércio sexual na cidade de Salvador, capital do Estado da Bahia, situada na Região Nordeste do Brasil, focando, com especial atenção, a questão das relações sociais de gênero. Considerando o turismo um importante mediador social, propõe-se, a partir de algumas observações levantadas em entrevistas realizadas com dez profissionais do sexo atuantes em pontos turísticos dessa cidade, dialogar, com outros pesquisadores dessa temática, sobre as relações sociais e culturais entre turistas e autóctones, que podem refletir elementos de uma realidade mais ampla e, através da interpretação das formas pelas quais as relações entre os envolvidos em tal contexto se desenvolvem, sobre o turismo e, particularmente, sobre o seu viés conhecido como turismo sexual. É válido salientar que, nas discussões aqui apresentadas, aborda-se, apenas, a prostituição feminina heterossexual. Palavras chave: Turismo sexual. Salvador (Bahia). Relações sociais de gênero. Este artigo pretende contribuir com a discussão acerca da complexa ligação entre Bens Culturais Imateriais e o Turismo. Para isso, em um primeiro momento, abordaremos a perspectiva da Unesco acerca da aproximação do turismo com o patrimônio cultural imaterial, contrastando-a com análises antropológicas advindas, em grande escala, da Antropologia da Performance (ANDERSON, 1982; SCHECHNER, 1985) e da Antropologia do Turismo (GRUNEWALD, 2003). Em um segundo momento, analisaremos a configuração de alguns roteiros de Turismo de Base Comunitária (TBC) e a utilização, por parte destes, de saberes étnicos circunscritos em modos tradicionais de vida e organização social nos estados do Ceará e Sergipe, na região Nordeste do Brasil. Na última etapa, se detalhará a metodologia adotada pelo Instituto de Pesquisas em Tecnologia e Inovação (IPTI), uma entidade privada sem fins lucrativos, quando da elaboração do Plano de Gestão Participativa do Turismo no município de Santa Luzia do Itanhy (SE), realizado em 2011, com o apoio do Ministério do Turismo. Após o estudo de alguns casos de sucesso e propostas de implantação de TBC, por meio do desenvolvimento de novos modelos de planejamento turístico na região Nordeste do Brasil, foi possível estabelecer a relação direta entre gestão do turismo de base comunitária e seu vínculo com a cultura, a identidade e o patrimônio imaterial.
Este relato visa tecer contribuições para os debates contemporâneos sobre extensão universitária, gênero e interseccionalidade, tendo como base a atuação do Gestar - Grupo de estudos, análise, reflexões e pesquisa sobre maternidade e ciência, vinculado à Universidade Federal de São Carlos. É evidente que o espaço acadêmico se estrutura sob o distanciamento de mulheres dos espaços de poder, de visibilidade e de tomadas de decisão e que reproduz constantemente as desigualdades estruturais de gênero sedimentadas nos diversos âmbitos sociais. Dessa forma, tomando como base o conceito de interseccionalidade proposto por Patrícia Hill Collins e Sirma Bilge (2021), compreendemos, através do Gestar - que articula em suas atuações as discussões de gênero, raça e classe – a necessidade de ações efetivas como a alteração de editais em prol das mulheres mães, das instalações adequadas nas dependências das universidades e da realização de pesquisas que promovem reflexões mais aprofundadas sobre a maternidade na ciência, contribuindo tanto pela via do empoderamento individual como coletivo. É por meio da proposição dessas políticas e outras ações afirmativas que o grupo desenvolve, que propomos reconfigurar as estruturas de poder que condicionam as mães apenas à reprodução humana e ao cuidado.
