Situated Knowledges and Border Thinking:A Revisit from the University ABSTRACT This paper revisit the concept of situated knowledge, proposed from the feminist standpoint theory, emphasizing in the processual character of it, and restoring a strong spatial sense of the situational statement. From linking this concept with others as border thinking and place-based epistemologies, a critical approach is offered to regionalization and internationalization projects in Latin-American universities
Social change in the middle basin of the Cauca River, Colombia (3000-400 a. P.): an approach from archaeological iconographies Abstract. This paper offers an interpretation of the images associated with archaeological evidence of the middle basin of the Cauca River in western Colombia, dated between 3000 and 400 a. P. From a relational analysis of the images embedded in metal and ceramic artifacts, this exercise explores how the iconographies were linked to processes of social change. The results are interpreted as indicative of gradual changes between two different systems of thought and ideologies, suggesting that images played an important role in the phase of social change between approximately 1200 and 750 a.
