This study aimed to determine the effect of the earthcomm learning model in increasing environmental awareness in high school students. Increased environmental awareness is a representation of students' knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and skills in solving environmental problems. In addition, this study was conducted to know the differences in student activities between classes using the earthcomm learning model and conventional learning models. The study used quasi-experimental design. The data was taken using an instrument of environmental awareness at the pretest and posttest in the experimental and control classes involving high school students in Malang City, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using ANCOVA with SPSS version 23 software for Windows. The results of the study prove that the earthcomm learning model has a significant influence on changes of knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and skills in solving environmental problems in high school students. Students' activity in the experimental class was more active than the control class.
Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adanya (1) pengaruh kebiasaan belajar terhadap hasil belajar Geografi, (2) pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap hasil belajar Geografi, dan (3) pengaruh kebiasaan belajar dan self-efficacy terhadap hasil belajar Geografi di SMAN 1 Widang-Tuban. Data dikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan angket dan dokumentasi dari 94 responden. Kebiasaan belajar diukur dengan angket kebiasaan belajar yang dikembangkan oleh Bakare 1971. Instrumen Motivation and Strategi Learning Quetionare (MSLQ) yang dikembangkan oleh Pintrich dkk tahun 1991 digunakan untuk mengukur self-efficacy, sedangkan hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata ulangan. Setelah data terkumpul, dianalisis secara statistik dengan teknik regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kebiasaan belajar secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 65,60%, (2) Selfefficacy secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 15,80%, dan (3) kebiasaan belajar dan self-efficacy secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 65,20.Kata Kunci: kebiasaan belajar, self-efficacy, hasil belajar.
Now, this is the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, where technological innovation is developing rapidly so that education also demands to change into the era of education 4.0 immediately. The era of education 4.0, was characterized by the use of technology in the learning process. However, in reality, the learning process still facing many obstacles, one of which in terms of the use of instructional media. Learning media still use conventional and limited to Microsoft PowerPoint software which only contains writings for the presentation of dry land use material. This makes it difficult for students to understand the material presented about dry land. The purpose of this article is to develop innovative learning media with Sugiyono's development method in the form of aerial imagery based 3D dry land maps. In this research, development is still at the product design validation stage. The results of the product design validation of 3D aerial dry land maps based on QGIS were declared to be feasible both materially and media. The results of the validation of the learning material value of 81 and the media readability value of 86. Then the 3D map of dry land-based on aerial imagery with QGIS can be concluded feasible to be used as a learning media in the subject of land resource evaluation.
<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The ability of critical thinking is a high level of thinking skills that students must have in the 21<sup>st</sup> century. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of challenge-based learning models to students' critical thinking ability. The research method used is a pseudo-experimentation with a quantitative approach. The subject of this study was high school students amounting to 60 people consisting of two homogeneous classes. Data collection techniques Using test essays are critical thinking abilities. The data analysis technique used is test T (T-Test). Statistical results of statistics show the value of the Sig. (2-tailed) is 0,003 < 0.05, so the challenge-based learning model is significantly affected by students ' critical thinking skills.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa pada abad ke 21. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model <em>challenge based learning</em> terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen semu dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA yang berjumlah 60 orang yang terdiri dari dua kelas yang bersifat homogen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes esai kemampuan berpikir kritis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t <em>(t-test)</em>. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,003<0,05 sehingga model <em>challenge based learning</em> berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.
<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This research development has the goal of producing teaching material supplements with the A-CAR structure. The development of teaching material supplements follows the phases of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The percentage of validation obtained from Indonesian language expert validator was 87%, material expert was 98%, teaching material development expert was 96%. The results of the teacher's response were 84% while students were 89%. In the comprehension test, 87% of 31students completing the test. This indicates that the product is worthy to be used in learning.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Penelitian pengembangan ini memiliki tujuan menghasilkan suplemen bahan ajar berstruktur <em>A-CAR</em>. Pengembangan suplemen bahan ajar mengikuti tahapan <em>ADDIE </em>(Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluate). Persentase validasi yang diperoleh dari validator ahli bahasa Indonesia sebesar 87%, ahli materi sebesar 98%, ahli pengembangan bahan ajar sebesar 96%. Hasil respon<strong>s</strong> guru didapatkan persentase 84% sedangkan siswa sebesar 89%. Pada tes pemahaman, 87% dari 31 siswa dinyatakan tuntas. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa produk telah layak untuk dapat dipergunakan dalam pembelajaran.
This study aimed to examine the impact of the project-based flipped classroom (PjBFC) model on online learning with synchronous and asynchronous strategies on student's critical thinking skills. The media used are Zoom meetings and WhatsApp. The research design was quasi-experimental research. The research subjects were students of the Geography Education Study Program taking Metode Penelitian Pendidikan Geografi (MPPG or Geography Education Research Methods) course at one of the universities in Indonesia. The sample was selected using a simple random sampling technique to 30 students divided to 2 groups, experimental group class A and the control group class B. The data collected from the post-test results dan data analyzed using t-test. Normality test and homogeneity test are carried before data analysis. The results showed that the PjBFC model in online learning with synchronous and asynchronous strategies had a significant effect to develop student's critical thinking skills. The PjBFC learning model is a superior learning approach for developing critical thinking skills both theoretically and practically. This study suggests that all relevant lecturers use PjBFC more widely in conducting lectures. Further research is recommended to apply the PjBFC model with different variables to test the generalizability and reliability of the PjBFC model.
Dusun Kedampul Desa Duwet memiliki potensi alam bambu yang melimpah. Sampai saat ini pemanfaatan bambu belum maksimal baik dari segi kuantitas dan kualitas padahal bambu dapat dijadikan berbagai kerajinan anyaman maupun non anyaman. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dipilihlah Dusun Kedampul Desa Duwet sebagai lokasi untuk melaksanakan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM). Kegiatan PKM yang dilaksanakan berupa pelatihan, dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: (1) tahap persiapan, (2) tahap pelaksanaan proses dan (3) tahap pemandirian. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari – November 2018 yaitu berupa kegiatan: pendidikan dan pelatihan kerajinan anyaman berbahan baku bambu. Beberapa manfaat praktis yang diharapkan dari pelaksanaan PKM, yaitu: (1) mereka mendapatkan informasi yang jelas dan utuh mengenai hakekat pemberdayaan masyarakat dari segi pengetahuan dan keterampilan, bermakna untuk penciptaan lapangan pekerjaan baru yang sifatnya inovatif dari kerajinan anyaman bambu; (2) masyarakat yang menjadi peserta pelatihan memperoleh gambaran yang jelas mengenai langkah pengembangan iklim usaha dengan memanfaatkan komoditas lokal; (3) peserta pelatihan juga mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas dan utuh tentang manfaat hasil komoditi lokal apabila dikelola dengan baik akan mendatangkan nilai finansial.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um032v2i12019p036
