The needs for space to support urban activities causes the expansion of urban regions in Malang. Urban activities started moving spread from the city center to suburban areas (urban sprawl). Kawasan Perkotaan Karangploso (KPK), Kabupaten Malang is one of the suburban areas. Urban sprawl is conversion of agricultural land in the suburbs. Find out about the character of farmers and set up positive mental are step that must be taken to preserve agricultural land. This study determines the influence of agricultural social, environmental, economic and policy on the farmer motivation to preserve agricultural land. The research uses statistical methods which is structural equation modeling (SEM) type of partial least square (PLS). Based on the analysis of PLS, the policy and social variables influence the farmer motivation to preserve agricultural land in KPK. Farmers motivation to preserve agricultural land will be high if policy and social variables in good condition. If the goal is increasing the farmer motivation to preserve agricultural land, the improvement of policy and social variables should be heed and priority, especially if there is constraint in terms of cost or time. <p><em>While carrying out its essential duties to provide adequate foods for people, the agriculture sector is facing sustainability issues. The study presents a case study of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), whereby an increase of urban expansion activities has begun to create a centrifugal force to the province that is popularly called as the granary of Indonesia. Urban settlements slowly leapfrogged to the outskirts and reduced the size of prime agricultural lands. Moreover, existing planning policies were unable to control the situation and many farmers leave their jobs because the setback of farmers wellbeing. The size of agricultural land is highly influential towards farmer motivation to stay engaged in the farming sector. Applying qualitative methods, this study examined the minimum area of agriculture land (focusing on paddy field) to promote farmer’s well-being following three steps of the analytical framework: total agricultural production estimation, the average well-being estimation, and the prediction of minimum land provision for the average well-being. After all, one of the key important findings reveals that</em><em> </em><em>the average of minimum agricultural land to ensure famers wellbeing for the whole NTB Province is </em><em>0.74 Ha.</em> <em></em></p>
Teori wilayah kota yang berkelanjutan menunjukkan kebutuhan untuk membangun sistem pendukung kehidupan yang lebih baik. Meskipun diharapkan dapat menyediakan pangan yang cukup untuk generasi saat ini dan masa depan, sektor pertanian menghadapi tantangan untuk bertahan di tengah masifnya urban sprawl. Pasca pandemi COVID-19 saat ini dan resesi ekonomi global, sektor pertanian tetap produktif sebagai sektor yang berperan penting dalam sistem ketahanan pangan yang memasok kebutuhan dalam negeri. Penelitian ini menyajikan studi kasus Indonesia bagian barat yang dianggap sebagai salah satu daerah berkembang yang sangat luas. Pertumbuhan pusat-pusat perkotaan gaya sentrifugal ditandai dengan perkembangan pesat menuju pinggiran yang menyebabkan hilangnya lahan pertanian. Oleh karena itu, memperburuk kemunduran kesejahteraan petani, saat ini dokumen perencanaan yang ada juga tidak dapat mengendalikan fenomena yang meluas. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pertanian pinggiran kota untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan pangan sendiri dan memastikan pendapatan yang memadai bagi petani muncul sebagai motivasi yang paling mendorong petani untuk tetap bertahan di sektor pertanian (Adrianto et al., 2013). Secara keseluruhan, studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peluang pelestarian lahan pertanian. Dengan menerapkan metode penelitian kualitatif, penelitian ini diharapkan mampu mengidentifikasi luasan minimal lahan pertanian (khususnya padi) untuk mendukung kesejahteraan petani.
Agroindustrial activities have an important role to support the agricultural sector both from an economic and social perspective. This is supported by the superior characteristics possessed by agroindustry, namely the use of raw materials from natural resources available locally. Sungai Langka Village is one of the villages that has agricultural potential that can support the development of agro-industrial areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of agro-industry activities in Sungai Langka Village. This research uses descriptive qualitative method which is supported by quantitative method. The results reveals that there are two types of agro-industry activities that developed in Sungai Langka Village, namely chips agro-industry and mini-cars agro-industry. Agroindustry in Sungai Langka Village is dominated by small scale and households, with the highest participation being dominated by men at 89 percent, but it is also inseparable from the contribution of women, the majority of business actors have low to moderate levels of education, and raw materials are mostly obtained from local and a small number of non-local, the scope of marketing has reached national level, and there are several institutions that play a role in the development of agro-industry in Sungai Langka Village such as the government, organizational human initiatives, Bank BRI, and etc
Indonesia, which is known to be an agricultural country and as one of the largest coffee exporters in the world, still has problems with the welfare of farmers. Decreased in agricultural land area can threaten the welfare of farmers. This is one of the concerns of this study by taking a case study of the welfare of coffee farmers in Lampung. This study aims to identify the need for a minimum coffee land area to maintain the stability of the welfare of coffee farmers in Lampung. This research will be conducted using qualitative descriptive research methods to examine efforts in the welfare of coffee plantation farmers, through its key factor, namely land ownership. The research process was carried out by identifying the results of calculating the production value and cost of coffee production in Lampung, which was then continued by calculating the level of welfare of the coffee farming community in order to get the final result of calculating the minimum coffee land area in Lampung. Based on the calculation results, each coffee farmer in Lampung Province needs an average of 4.06 hectares to meet the welfare according to the resident minimum wage. Meanwhile, based on the 2020-2022 National Leading Plantation Statistics, the average land area owned by coffee farmers in Lampung Province is still far from the need to fulfill the welfare of these farmers, which only reaches 27% (1.1 Ha).
Sebagai upaya mengembangkan daerah, saat ini pemerintah berupaya mengembangkan berbagai obyekpariwisata baru untuk menarik kunjungan. Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat merupakan salah satuKabupaten yang berorientasi dalam mengembangkan pariwisata. Pelaung tersebut semakin besar karenabaru saja beroperasionalnya jalan Tol Trans Sumatera, sehingga dapat terbentuk integrasi kawasanpariwisata dan meningkatkan peluang kunjungan wisatawan di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat. Dalammendukung hal tersebut diperlukan identifikasi terhadap pola pergerakan dan penggunaan moda yangmelalui obyek wisata di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat. Identifikasi dan analisis data dilakukan secarakuantitatif dengan data pergerakan dijalan antar obyek pariwisata. Melalui riset ini dapat diketahui polapergerakan dan penggunaan moda di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat yang berkaitan dengan obyekpariwisata di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat. Dimana obyek wisata utama yang pertama ditemui adalahIslamic Centre dan Relief Mego Park. Dari hasil interpretasi data menunjukkan bahwa destinasi paling tinggipotensinya dilewati pergerakan adalah destinasi wisata Islamic Centre yang berasal dari Pintu Tol TransSumatera Gunung Batin dan Menggala. Melalui hal tersebut, sehingga direkomendasikan rute wisata TulangBawang Barat dimulai dari arah Lampung Tengah. Hal menarik lainnya adalah terdapat perbedaan polapenggunaan moda di hari kerja dan di akhir minggu. Dimana pada akhir minggu pengguna kendaraan tanpamesin lebih tinggi dibandingkan hari kerja.Kata Kunci: Pola Pergerakan, Moda, Obyek Wisata
