This study aims to test the effectiveness of the blended learning rotation model to improve the scientific literacy skill of prospective teacher students. The design of this study used the Posttest-only design with nonequivalent groups. The research subjects were 76 students majoring in biology education at Universitas Mataram. The research was done to two experimental groups, namely the blended learning station rotation model (BLSRM) and regular learning (RL). The research instrument used a multiple-choice test which refers to the aspects of scientific literacy competence according to PISA. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively, complete with the Hotelling's T2 test to test the effect of BLSRM on students' scientific literacy skills. The results showed that students' scientific literacy skills were in the very low category (mean BLSRM = 38.50, RL = 34.22) and there was no effect of BLSRM on students' scientific literacy skills (Hotteling Trace = .098 and Sig. = .080). To improve students' scientific literacy skills, BLSRM needs to be combined with other models such as problem-solving model, so it can be an effective strategy in science learning
Aktivitas rumah tangga yang tidak dikelola dengan bijak dan berakhir di tempat pembuangan sampah sering kali menimbulkan dampak terhadap beberapa aspek kehidupan, diantaranya aspek kesehatan, aspek lingkungan, dan aspek estetika. Sikap dan kepedulian masyarakat terhadap sampah menjadi perhatian dan tanggung jawab setiap lapisan masyarakat dalam menjaga dan melestarikan lingkungan alam sekitar. Tujuan pengabdian ini salah satunya adalah mengenalkan pemanfaatan sampah yang mudah dan dapat dilakukan oleh masyarakat dan siswa sekolah MTs Haudhul Ulum Gegutu Telaga yang menjadi target luaran dengan cara fermentasi karena teknologi yang digunakan sangat sederhana dan biaya penanganan yang murah yaitu pengolahan limbah rumah tangga untuk menghasilkan Mikroorganisme Lokal (MOL) menjadi Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) dari limbah Nasi (Oryza sativa). Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan penilaian sikap dan perilaku peduli lingkungan. Pengabdian POC ini dapat menghasilkan Pupuk Organik Cair yang bagus sesuai dengan kriteria dan juga melalui kegiatan pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga menjadi POC, diketahui siswa/i MTs. Haudhul Ulum memiliki sikap peduli lingkungan yang baik (89,5%) dan perilaku peduli lingkungan yang cukup baik (72,9%). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan kepada siswa mengenai cara mengolah sampah dengan bijak dapat menumbuhkan bahkan meningkatkan sikap dan perilaku peduli lingkungan.
Learning innovation is a solution to achieve learning mastery, especially during the covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe and assess models of learning innovation methods that are relevant to changes in learning models during the covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive method and the sampling technique is simple random sampling. Meanwhile, the data collection techniques used documentation studies and interviews. Data analysis in this study was descriptive statistics andtest one-way anova using software spssversion 17.0. The results showed that: 1) the innovation of learning methods during the covid-19 pandemic with blended learning showed a sig.> 0.05 value, namely 0.428 at junior high school mataram city and 0.442 at junior high school West Lombok Regency , which means there is no significant difference in the implementation of the learning method. Blended learning during the covid-19 pandemic; 2) teacher perceptions based on 5 indicators, namely learning methods, innovation in the learning process, use of technology, lesson planning, and teacher support capacity indicate that science teachers at junior high school mataram city and west lombok regency have perceptions of 87.5% and 75.0% with good category; 3) students' perceptions based on 5 indicators, namely the effectiveness of the methods used, the use of technology, learning activities, learning motivation, and the carrying capacity of facilities and infrastructure indicate that students at junior high school mataram city have a perception of 90% with a good category and west lombok regency of 72.5% with good enough category. The conclusion of this study is that learning innovation or a combination of methods through online learning methods with blended learning during the covid-19 pandemic is a solution to achieve student learning mastery.
This research aims to describe the student ability of science literacy in Biology at the second grade of Junior High School State in Mataram district Lombok Island Indonesia. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research was second-grade students. The data collection technique used the instrument ability of science literacy test regarding indicators competence of science literacy. The technique of data analysis was done descriptively. These results show that the student ability of science literacy at 53.7. At the same time, students' achievement is dominated by the aspect of competence in evaluating and designing investigation scientifically at 65.5%. The average in the element of competence explains the phenomenon scientifically at 49.2%, and the lowest competence in interpreting data and evidencing scientifically at 45.8%. Therefore, the student ability of science literacy of Junior High School state in Mataram sub-district including the low category.
Pembelajaran biologi yang berkualitas tidak bisa dilepaskan dari media pembelajaran. Pemilihan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang tepat akan memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada guru biologi se-Kabupaten Lombok Tengah menunjukkan bahwa 60% guru biologi belum pernah membuat media pembelajaran berbasis android dan 100% membutuhkan pelatihan untuk membuat media pembelajaran berbasis android. Karena itu, dibutuhkan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis android untuk membantu guru biologi meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan bersama forum MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) Biologi di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Jumlah guru biologi yang dilibatkan berjumlah 27 orang. Pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis android ini dilakukan dengan mekanisme (1) penyampaian materi pembuatan media secara klasikal, (2) simulasi pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis android, (3) penugasan dan pendampingan peserta pelatihan dalam membuat media pembelajaran, (4) presentasi hasil penugasan pembuatan media, dan (5) evaluasi kegiatan pelatihan. Pada setiap akhir kegiatan pelatihan, peserta diberi tugas untuk membuat dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran biologi berbasis android. Media pembelajaran hasil penugasan yang telah diselesaikan kemudian dipresentasikan dan diujicobakan pada peserta didik SMA. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2022. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 60% guru belum pernah mengajar menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis android dan 70% diantaranya tidak pernah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan sejenis tentang penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis android. Berdasarkan indikator dari respon dan tanggapan peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dirancang oleh guru menunjukkan bahwa indikator kepraktisan sebesar 78% (cocok digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran).
