This research aimed at determining the athlete's level of confidence in the three-meter smash on volleyball. The research method used was descriptive quantitative. The instrument used was questionnaire about athlete’s confidence with 20 questions. The subject of the research were 12 volleyball extracurricular athletes in SMA Negeri 1 Pundong, Bantul. The data technique analysis used were validity measured by using the Product Moment Correlation formula and reliability gained 0.428 using Cronbach's Alpha. The result of the research showed that the level of confidence of volleyball athletes in SMA Negeri 1 Pundong while conducting a three meter smash was in the category: Very low, 5 persons (41.6%); Low, 3 persons (25%); High, 2 persons (16.7%); Very high, 2 persons (16.7%). The ability to smash three meters can only be done by especially in the open spiker and all-round. It is needed to support their ability in doing the three-meter smash. This study is limited with a few research subjects for those who specialize in open spikes and all rounds who usually do three meter semash. More research subjects with open and all-round specialties were reproduced.
This study aimed to investigate the use of supplements among amateur boxers, including the types and brands of supplements and the ways and reasons for taking them. The sample is divided into three categories: elite, youth, and junior. The research method is a survey using a Google form which is distributed to all amateur boxers. The results showed that 200 amateur boxers used supplements, including 125 elite amateur boxers, 55 youth amateur boxers, and 20 junior amateur boxers. A total of 130 boxers received supplements from coaches, officials, administrators, and Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI). A total of 111 amateur boxers used only one type of supplement. The most widely used types of supplements are multivitamins and minerals. A total of 102 amateur boxers used supplements within 4-5 months before the competition. Amateur boxers can feel good effects after using supplements. However, counseling about sports nutrition by doctors and nutritionists needs to be done so that amateur boxers can choose the right supplements and be more careful in using these supplements. These findings can be a reference for coaches and athletes to determine the right supplements to regulate nutrition better.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kompetensi guru serta rumusan rekomendasi kebijakan yang mendalam dan kongkrit mengenai konsep strategi implementasi kerja yang efektif, efisien, produktif, kreatif dan inovatif demi terlaksananya program pembinaan kompetensi dan profesionalitas guru secara khusus di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bersifat eksploratif reflektif. Subjek Penelitian adalah para guru PJOK di jenjang Sekolah Dasar di Yogyakarta sebanyak 30 guru yang dipilih melalui mekanisme purposive. Proses pengumpulan data akan dibantu dengan lembar-lembar identifikasi atau pencatatan. Mekanisme pengumpulan data yang selanjutnya adalah dengan melakukan FGD dengan beberapa guru yang juga ditentukan melalui mekanisme purposive. Sementara itu, langkah-langkah yang hendak diterapkan dalam metode analisis data berturut-turut berupa, (1) klasifikasi data; (2) display data; (3) melakukan penafsiran dan interpretasi serta pengambilan kesimpulan. Guru PJOK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta masih terkendala oleh kapasitas IT, kejelasan program Guru Pembelajar serta rendahnya pendampingan dari instansi terkait, sehingga dalam melaksanakan program ini mereka mengalamai stagnasi. Community based learning menjadi metode yang diingini oleh para guru PJOK dalam mengembangan kompetensinya. Konsep The Five Disciplines dari Peter Senge yang meliputi personal mastery, mental models, building shared vision, team learning, dan system thinking perlu didorong dalam upaya menghebatkan para guru PJOK. Needs analysis for the sport and health education teachers after the implementation of learning-teacher program AbstractThe study aims at mapping the in-depth and concrete teacher competence and recommendation formula toward the concept of effective, efficient, productive, creative and innovative job implementation in implementing the special program of teachers’ competence and professionalism development in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region. The study is a qualitative descriptive research with explorative-reflective nature. When the study was conducted, the subjects were 30 teachers of Sports and Health Education in the Elementary Schools degree throughout the Province who had been selected by means of purposive sampling technique. Then, the data in the study were gathered bt means of identification or record sheets. After the data had been gathered, a focus group discussion (FGD) was conducted by involving several teachers who had also been selected by means of purposive sampling technique. Then, in analysing the data for the study the following procedures were applied: (1) data classification; (2) data display; (3) interpretation and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results of the study, it might be concluded that the teachers of Sports and Health Education in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region are still troubled with their capacity of operating Information Technology, the clarity of Learning-Teacher Program and the low guidance provided by the relevant institution; as a result, the implementation of the program among the teachers become stagnant. The teachers in the program prefer Community-Based Learning as the method for the program implementation. In relation to the demand, the concept of Five Disciplines by Peter Senge that includes personal mastery, mental models, building shared vision, team learning and system thinking should be encouraged in empowering the teachers of Sports and Health Education.
The purpose of this study is to develop a talent identification test construct for athletics. Content validity is used to test the instrument. Testing is done by using professional judgment and involving experts in learning and athletic training. The analytical technique used is the validity coefficient of Aiken (V) to determine the relevance of each construct of the test. This study used five rater with the assessment scale ranging from 1 to 4 with criterion 1(irrelevant), 2 (less relevant), 3 (relevant), and 4 (very relevant). There are ten test items from the assessment that are evaluated by experts. The value of validity coefficient of Aiken's V for the athletic talent identification test was 0.87 to 0.93.
This study aimed at investigating the characteristics of lactate threshold in Taekwondo Yogyakarta Special Region athletes during competition. This research is a descriptive study conducted with survey techniques. Data was collected with a test that aims to understand how high levels of lactic acid in the blood of Yogyakarta Taekwondo athletes during competition. The sample used in this study is a DIY Taekwondo athletes who participate in Taekwondo championship. This study was conducted in September 2013 at Sports Hall the National Development University of Yogyakarta. In this research, statistical analysis by paired sample t-test. All statistical analyzes were performed with computer applications using serial program SPSS for Windows version 19, with a signi icance level of 5 %. Different test results on the measurement of lactic acid levels at 1, at 2, at 3, at 4, and 5 to show that an increase in blood lactic acid levels. While the results of different tests on the blood lactic acid levels at 6 measurements decrease. Highest levels of lactic acid produced in the measurement to 5 or in Round 3. Recovery with a time of 10 minutes after the match has not been enough to restore blood lactic acid levels in condition before the match or at rest
