Developing PISA like mathematics problems using daily life context helps to improve the quality of learning. This study aimed to generate a valid, practical, and having potential effects on mathematics literacy ability PISA like mathematics problems with the context of sailing in the 2018 Asian Games. This research involved three expert reviews and 32 fifteen-years-old tenth-grade students of SMA N 10 Palembang, a public senior high school in Palembang Indonesia, as the research subjects. This study used the design research method of development studies type. The data were collected through documentation, walkthrough, tests, and interviews. The problem developed in this study is related to the length of wood required to span the sail. The results show that the problems are valid. The validity was viewed from its compatibility with the PISA framework, in which it had related the problems with daily life context of sailing in the 2018 Asian Games and space and shape content. The problems are also practical, viewed from students' understanding of the problem. And, the problems have potential effects when tested in learning issue of mathematical literacy ability. The dominant ability is reasoning and representation ability, while the communication ability is still low because the students do not give detailed answers.
The teacher is a parent for young children in school. In maximizing learning in schools, the role of a teacher is needed. This study aims to describe the learning process for childhood by teachers both in plannng, implementatuon, and evaluaton of geometry and numbers. The subjects of this study were 30 teachers from 20 schools in South Sumatra. The method used is descriptive with qualitative and quantitative types. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The results obtained that the implementation of learning undertaken by teachers both in planning, implementation, and evaluation has been carried out in each school. It’s just that the implementation is not optimal. It is because there is no awareness of the teacher about the need for learning tools, learning is still not following the stages of development due to the limitations of the media and the lack of teacher creativity. It requires training as an evaluation of the activities that have been carried out.
The aim of research was to produce valid, practical and had potential-effect to mathematic literacy ability in PISA like mathematics problem in using row sports context at Asian Games 2018. The research method used development research with development studies type. The subjects of the research were the students with 15 years old of class X SMAN 10 Palembang. The techniques of collecting data were used documentation, walkthrough, test, and interview. This research produced the problem about how the students determined how many benches could be made by only knowing length and width of the boats. The results showed that the problem developed (1) valid from the suitability with the framework PISA regarding content, context, literacy process and level of questions that was connected problems with daily life accordance experts review and one to one stage (2) practical because the problem could be understood by students accordance small group stage, and (3) had a potential effect from the result of analyze the student's answer in mathematical literacy ability with representation and reasoning ability as dominant accordance field test stage.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan materi e-modul statistika menggunakan konteks budaya melayu lelang tembak yang valid dan praktis serta memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri atas 5 tahap yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 50 Palembang. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan validasi angket, angket kepraktisan, dan tes. Data kevalidan didapatkan dengan melakukan validasi terhadap e-modul oleh 2 orang validator, dan data kepraktisan didapatkan melalui angket kepraktisan yang diberikan kepada siswa. Sedangkan efek potensial dilihat berdasarkan evaluasi melalui soal tes kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan capaian nilai kevalidan sebesar 0,77 dengan kategori validitas sedang, proporsi kepraktisan sebesar 83,52% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan nilai efek potensial terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa mencapai nilai ketuntasan sebesar 88% dengan kategori “sangat tinggi”. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul materi statistika menggunakan konteks budaya melayu lelang tembak teruji valid dan praktis serta memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematika siswa.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan permainan domino berbasis android pada materi bilangan bulat di kelas VII Mts Islamiyah Trimoharjo yang efektif untuk digunakan. Peneliti ini menggunakan metode pengembangan dengan dua tahapan yaitu tahap preliminary (tahap persiapan dan tahap pendesainan materi) dan tahap formative evaluation (tahap evaluasi dan tahap revisi). Pada tahap expert review dengan ahli media diperoleh hasil akurasi desain dan kualitas teknis yang baik, sedangkan dengan ahli materi diperoleh hasil akurasi konten yang sesuai sehingga permainan domino berbasis android pada materi bilangan dapat dikatakan valid. Kemudian, media diujicobakan kepada 6 siswa untuk memperoleh media yang praktis. Dari hasil ujicoba pada tahap small group diperoleh hasil 91,66 dengan kategori sangat baik yang artinya media dapat dikatakan praktis untuk digunakan. Selanjutnya, media diujicobakan pada tahap field test untuk melihat keefektifan media pembelajaran. Dari hasi rekapitulasi didapat hasil 95,21 dengan kategori sangat baik yang artinya media dapat dikatakan efektif untuk digunakan. Permainan domino berbasis android efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran bilangan bulat. Oleh karena itu, perlunya mengembangkan media berbasis android untuk mendukung pembelajaran.The online learning method makes it difficult for Accounting students to understand the material containing calculation theory, such as Budgeting. Therefore, in this study, an application called Budgeting in App has been built, which helps improve understanding of budgeting materials and exercises. The stages of this research include problem analysis, needs analysis, design, application development, and application testing. This application contains seven material topics: sales budget, raw material budget, operating expense budget, inventory, accounts receivable budget, cash budget calculation menu, and debt and capital budget. Tests have been carried out to evaluate the application's reliability, consisting of three scenarios: functional system testing, application flow, and the impact of using applications in teaching and learning. The results show that all application features have been running well and are by the concept of budgeting algorithms, and 75% of students strongly agree that this application has been developed well.
Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pelatihan karya tulis ilmiah untuk guru matematika di Kota Palembang. Pelaksanaan pelatihan berupa pendampingan kepada guru matematika untuk membuat karya tulis ilmiah. Kegiatan ini melalui empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, evaluasi, dan pelaporan. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dari 3 Mei 2020-17 Juni 2020 secara daring menggunakan aplikasi whatsapp dan zoom meeting dengan 2 kali pelatihan dan 4 kali FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan yaitu 25 orang guru matematika di Kota Palembang yang terdiri dari 10 orang guru matematika SMP/MTs dan 15 orang guru matematika SMA/MA. Peserta pelatihan diberikan materi Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan tata cara penulisan artikel jurnal. Peserta dibimbing cara membuat artikel mulai dari judul, pendahuluan, metode, hasil, kesimpulan, daftar pustaka menggunakan reference manager, cek plagiat, membuat akun penulis jurnal, dan mengirimkan artikel yang sudah siap diterbitkan. Hasil pelatihan terkumpul 22 artikel yang sudah dikirim ke beberapa jurnal pendidikan matematika.
