The implementation of posyandu for the elderly is not optimal and the lack of understanding of the elderly about the posyandu for the elderly causes a lack of participation and utilization of services by the elderly. This community service activity is carried out at the Posyandu Elderly in Sumbertebu Village with the aim to improve the skills of posyandu cadres and increase the participation of the elderly coming to the Posyandu. Revitalization activities include cadre training activities, making health promotion media, socializing the use of elderly posyandu through visits to elderly homes, assisting the implementation of elderly posyandu, and carrying out development activities in the form of elderly gymnastics (sports and group therapy (education). the results of this community service include increasing cadre skills in implementing posyandu and increasing the number of elderly visits to posyandu, optimizing the main service activities in posyandu and development activities capable of increasing the motivation of elderly people to come to the elderly posyandu.
Abstrak: Kejadian bencana dapat terjadi dimana dan kapan saja, tidak terkecuali di daerah industri. Kota Mojokerto dikenal sebagai salah satu daerah yang memiliki banyak industri di wilayahnya. Budaya sadar bencana dan pengetahuan tentang evakuasi korban menjadi penting untuk dimiliki para pekerja pabrik. Hal ini dalam rangka mengurangi jumlah korban jiwa manusia, kerusakan lingkungan, kerugian harta benda, dan dampak psikologis. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk menanamkan budaya sadar bencana dan peningkatan pengetahuan evakuasi korban pada pekerja pabrik. Metode yang digunakan adalah memberikan edukasi dengan pendekatan Participatory Learning and Action (PLA). Kegiatan dilakukan di PT Intidragon Suryatama sebagai salah satu industri sepatu terbesar di Kota Mojokerto yang diikuti oleh 37 partisipan. Hasil yang didapat dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah terdapat peningkatan pemahaman dan pengetahuan dari pekerja pabrik tentang budaya sadar bencana dan evakuasi korban, dari 57% berada pada kategori cukup menjadi 76% berada pada kategori baik. Pemahaman tentang materi tersebut penting untuk dimiliki oleh pekerja pabrik mengingat bencana dapat terjadi dimana dan kapan saja, sehingga membutuhkan kesiapsiagaan dalam upaya meminimalisir efek dan kerugian yang dapat ditimbulkan.Abstract: Disaster events can occur anywhere and anytime, including in industrial areas. The city of Mojokerto is known as one of the areas that has a lot of industry in its territory. Disaster awareness culture and knowledge about victim evacuation are important for factory workers. This is in order to reduce the number of human casualties, environmental damage, property losses, and psychological impacts. The purpose of this activity is to instill a culture of disaster awareness and increase knowledge of victim evacuation in factory workers. The method used is to provide education with a Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach. The activity was carried out at PT Intidragon Suryatama as one of the largest shoe industries in Mojokerto City, which was attended by 37 participants. The results obtained from this community service activity are that there is an increase in the understanding and knowledge of factory workers about disaster awareness culture and victim evacuation, from 57% in the sufficient category to 76% in the good category. It is important for factory workers to have an understanding of these materials considering that disasters can occur anywhere and anytime, thus requiring preparedness in an effort to minimize the effects and losses that can be caused.
Background: Preparedness education for disasters is important because nurses must adapt to any conditions. But the phenomenon shows that not many nurses have the readiness and qualified experience in disaster relief efforts. The right step in improving the ability of nurses is to provide disaster education early on to nursing students. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of disaster simulation methods on disaster management knowledge and skills in students at STIKes Majapahit Mojokerto. Methods: The design of this study was a pre-experiment with one group post-test only design. The sample of this research was all 7th-semester students of the Nursing Undergraduate Study Program at STIKes Majapahit Mojokerto with 21 respondents. The independent variable is the intervention of the disaster simulation method and the dependent variable is the knowledge and skills of disaster management. This study used a measuring tool in the form of a questionnaire sheet that was adopted and modified from the DPET (Disaster Preparedness Evaluation Tool) questionnaire. Analysis of the data in this study used the analysis of the mean. Results: The study found that the mean value of disaster management knowledge and skills were at 4.50 (SD: 1.12) and 4.29 (SD: 1.04). The mean value is included in the moderate category. This disaster simulation method provides the opportunity and experience for students to be able to directly apply the theories obtained in class to situations that are made as closely as possible with disaster conditions. Conclusion: The results of this study are expected to be a reference in the development of more attractive and interesting learning methods on the topic of disaster management so that in the long run it can improve the ability of nurses in their roles when disasters occur.
Kesehatan reproduksi merupakan keseluruhan keadaan pada kesehatan mental, kesehatan fisik dan pekerjaan sosial mengenai segala hal yang berkaitan dengan sistem, fungsi dan proses, serta tidak adanya penyakit dan kecacatan. Remaja merupakan masa peralihan dari masa anak-anak ke masa dewasa. Dalam perkembangannya semua remaja akan mengalami masa pubertas, yang mana merupakan masa peralihan dari anak-anak menuju orang dewasa yang sesungguhnya. Di masa tersebut terdapat beberapa perubahan pada diri remaja baik secara fisik maupun kesehatan reproduksinya. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan sikap terkait kesehatan reproduksi dan psikososial pada remaja dengan pendekatan peer group. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode Participatory Learning and Action (PLA). Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatnya sikap remaja terhadap kesehatan reproduksi dan psikososial, terlebih di masa pandemi COVID-19. Pemahaman tentang kesehatan reproduksi dan psikososial remaja penting untuk dilakukan secara berkesinambungan agar terus dapat diingat dan diaplikasikan oleh remaja. Merokok masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang serius. Pada saat sekarang ini, kebiasaan merokok tidak hanya menjadi masalah pada orang dewasa, namun juga semakin marak pada kalangan anak dan remaja. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang bahaya merokok pada remaja di SMK Nasional Dawar Blandong Mojokerto. Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) diterapkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini karena dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran dan keaktifan peserta dalam peningkatan pengetahuan tentang bahaya merokok pada remaja. Metode analisis data menggunakan nilai pre-test dan post-test. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 49 orang. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan remaja terhadap bahaya merokok. Sebelum pendidikan kesehatan, pengetahuan peserta hampir seluruhnya berada pada kategori cukup (77,6%), sedangkan setelah pendidikan kesehatan, pengetahuan peserta sebagian besar berada pada kategori baik (69,4%). Pemahaman tentang kesehatan, terutama bahaya merokok pada remaja penting untuk dilakukan secara berkesinambungan agar terus dapat diingat dan diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
