A temática de mensuração no campo de ciências sociais é recorrente em termos de indicação da necessidade de contribuições que minimizem erros relacionados ao uso de métricas em pesquisas quantitativas. O objetivo desse estudo foi analisar, por medidas descritivas e testes estatísticos de comparação, os efeitos do uso de oito diferentes escalas de verificação, com formatos binários, de quatro, cinco e sete pontos. A análise foi desenvolvida com base no construto de satisfação discente, para qual foi feita uma survey com alunos de duas instituições públicas de ensino superior. Em geral, os resultados permitiram verificar nuances, variações e vantagens ou desvantagens dos diferentes tipos de escalas, considerando objetivos dos estudos, temáticas e posições do pesquisador. O estudo traz contribuições na esfera metodológica das pesquisas relacionadas ao campo de ciências sociais e comportamentais, bem como em esfera prática profissional e acadêmica.
O artigo possui o objetivo de compreender a avaliação dos alunos com deficiência visual sobre os encontros de serviço com funcionários de secretaria e professores em Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES). Foi utilizada uma abordagem qualitativa e, assim, realizaram-se 10 entrevistas semiestruturadas face-a-face com estudantes universitários deficientes visuais. Os dados foram coletados através da Técnica do Incidente Crítico (TIC) e as falas obtidas foram analisadas por meio da análise de conteúdo. Concluiu-se que os encontros de serviços foram avaliados negativamente devido à estigmatização e ao preconceito dos colaboradores das IES, principalmente dos professores. A partir da identificação das ações inclusivas e exclusivas das IES e dos incidentes críticos onde a vulnerabilidade de consumo foi observada, também foi evidenciado que o processo de inclusão escolar das IES públicas encontra-se mais avançado em relação às universidades particulares, embora ambas possuam diversas falhas em sua operacionalização.
Resumo Esse estudo teve como objetivo adaptar e revalidar a Escala Engajamento Discente de Burch et al. (2015) para o contexto brasileiro. Para isso, desenvolvemos procedimentos centrais de tradução e adaptação dos itens da escala, que juntamente com questões sociais e demográficas compuseram o questionário utilizado na pesquisa. A coleta dos dados ocorreu de maneira presencial e os sujeitos da pesquisa foram estudantes do curso de Administração de duas instituições de ensino superior do Brasil. Nas análises dos dados procedemos a operacionalização psicométrica por análise fatorial confirmatória e de consistência interna, além de extrações descritivas. A indicação adaptada e revalidada resultou em uma métrica final consistente para a utilização em estudos quantitativos que envolvessem o construto no Brasil. A escala final foi definida com 3 dimensões (engajamento emocional, físico e cognitivo em sala de aula), cada uma mensurada por 4 itens com relação refletiva para as dimensões latentes. Este estudo objetivou analisar fatores individuais que levam à adoção de comportamentos de doação de dinheiro e tempo para a causa animal, considerando o papel de marketing no contexto de ONGs. Foram lançadas nove hipóteses de pesquisa, testadas globalmente e por contexto de coleta com residentes da cidade de João Pessoa (PB) por meio da modelagem linear de Theil-Sen. Entre os principais resultados, destaca-se que a percepção de colaboração com a causa como dever moral predispõe as pessoas a doar dinheiro e tempo. Além disso, as pessoas que percebem sua colaboração e a ação das ONGs como eficazes em promover o bem-estar de animais domésticos são mais propensas a adotar esses comportamentos. A pesquisa contribui para a prática de gestão de marketing em organizações sociais voltadas à causa animal, ao passo que incentiva a discussão de marketing no interesse social e de causas sociais mais específicas em âmbito acadêmico.
