The research’s aim is to determine to find out the increase in college student learning outcomes using learning media based-Lectora Inspire developed in English courses. The Dick and Carey's ADDIE model is being used in this research and development. The college students' cognitive learning outcomes can be improved through the development of learning media based-Lectora Inspire because the gain score obtained is 0.307 which is included in the medium category.
The purpose of this study is to know the increase of the college students’ cognitive learning outcomes who use e-book learning media developed in the Class Management course in the Primary School Teacher Education department, Faculty of Science Education, State University of Medan. This research type is Research and Development with the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The instruments used for data collection are tests. The results of the increase of the college students’ cognitive learning outcomes analysis show that the initial average score is 85.3 while the final average score is 89.8. When viewed from the gain score, obtained a gain score of 0.307 which is classified as the medium category.
The study aimed to determine learning media based-Lectora Inspire feasibility at English course. The ADDIE model is being used in this research and development. The feasibility results of learning media based-Lectora Inspire in English courses meet the very valid criteria with the results from material/content experts reaching a validity level of 85% and media product design experts reaching a validity level of 87,5%.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika yang menerapkan pendekatan open-ended dengan pembelajaran biasa pada siswa Kelas VI SD St.Thomas 4 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VI SD St.Thomas 4 Medan Tahun Ajaran 2009/2010. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI, dipilih secara acak dua kelas SD St.Thomas 4 Medan. Kriteria pengujian hipotesisi adalah : Ha diterima jika , dimana diperoleh dari daftar distribusi t dengan dk = () dengan peluang dan taraf nyata = 0,05. Untuk harga thitung lainnya Ho ditolak. Hasil analisis dari data gain kelas Open-Ended dengan kelas Konvensional dengan menggunakan uji t, diperoleh harga thit = 4,32 harga ttabel = pada dk =78 dan taraf signifikansi a = 0,05 diperoleh ttabel = 1,667, ternyata thit > ttabel maka Ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Open-Ended dengan siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional.
