Este texto apresenta uma análise do uso das perguntas na sala de aula numa perspectiva textual-interativa. Partimos da revisão de estudos que tratam de estratégias interrogativas na fala a fim de elaborarmos uma proposta de classificação destas no discurso de sala de aula.
Desde a década de 1970, com o estudo pioneiro de Robin Lakoff, diversos estudos têm evidenciado a relação entre a linguagem e o sexo/ gênero do falante. Se outrora a diferença na fala de homens e mulheres estava relacionada ao papel desempenhado por cada um na sociedade, atualmente, em um momento em que indivíduos de ambos os sexos/gêneros desempenham os mesmos papéis sociais, as diferenças entre as formas de falar podem estar relacionadas a fatores pragmáticos. À luz dos pressupostos teóricos da Sociolinguística Variacionista (WEINREICH; LABOV; HERZOG, 2006; LABOV, 2008) e da Psicologia Social (LAMBERT; LAMBERT, 1972), neste trabalho, objetivamos identificar as crenças e as atitudes linguísticas de 60 estudantes da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, CampusProf. Alberto Carvalho – Itabaiana/SE, perante o fenômeno da monotongação dos ditongos decrescentes (“ouro” ~ “oro”) e crescentes (“ciência” ~ “ciênça”). Para tanto, a coleta dos dados foi feita a partir da aplicação de um questionário de atitudes linguísticas composto por seis perguntas subjetivas/abertas sobre cada tipo de monotongação para verificar se os falantes possuem uma avaliação positiva ou negativa sobre o fenômeno em estudo. Os resultados evidenciaram que os estudantes, tendo consciência ou não da redução da semivogal no ditongo decrescente, apresentam posicionamento positivo quanto ao fenômeno e acreditam que ele acontece independentemente de a pessoa ser escolarizada ou não. Diferentemente acontece quando a redução ocorre em ditongo crescente: os estudantes têm uma visão negativa desse fenômeno e acreditam que as pessoas podem sofrer alguma coerção social, corroborando, assim, com os resultados dos estudos sociolinguísticos de que os fenômenos mais salientes são os mais estigmatizados.

Em um contexto social específico, a língua não só é usada para comunicar as necessidades, as ideias e as emoções dos seres humanos, mas também para fazer inferências a respeito das capacidades e atributos sociais do falante, ou seja, para emitir atitudes linguísticas conscientemente ou não. Neste trabalho, objetivamos identificar as atitudes linguísticas de estudantes universitários frente ao uso da forma pronominal de 1ª pessoa do plural a gente e da forma de 2ª pessoa do singular tu, bem como se elas (atitudes linguísticas) se assemelham ou não. Para subsidiar a análise, os dados foram coletados a partir da aplicação de um teste de atitude linguística a 60 estudantes (30 mulheres e 30 homens) da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, Campus Prof. Alberto Carvalho -Itabaiana/SE. Em termos gerais, os resultados evidenciaram que a percepção dos estudantes considera as dimensões de padronização e vitalidade das formas linguísticas, bem como a noção de normas sociais atreladas a esses comportamentos linguísticos, como adequação das formas na comunidade de fala. Além disso, os resultados apontaram que as formas pronominais em análise não são estigmatizadas pelos universitários, evidenciando, assim, que esse pronome possui aceitabilidade na comunidade em estudo. Como Elisa Battisti mostrou no capítulo anterior, as redes sociais vêm sendo utilizadas nos estudos variacionistas a fim de contribuir para a análise dos processos de variação e mudança linguísticas, uma vez que, com essa metodologia, torna-se possível realizar uma análise com base na frequência e qualidade da interação dos membros constituintes das redes, abrindo espaço para um estudo voltado ao campo da pragmática.
