Supply Chain Management can be seen as a way to achieve integration of all corporate functions. In practice, Supply Chain Management is complex and characterized by numerous activities spread over multiple functions and organizations, which pose challenges to reach effective implementation. Based on literature review, the objective of this paper is to present the theoretical indications regarding professional profile recommended for the Supply Chain Management and discuss the role of these professionals in cross-functional business processes. The literature review demonstrated a growing interest in the thematic, especially because the "soft" aspects (human and behavioral) to achieve supply chain internal and external integration. All functions must be involved in Supply Chain Management and supply chain managers have a critical role to play: challenge the supremacy of functions in the organizational structure, implementing the practice of "horizontal work" through cross-functional teams. Overall, this research contributes to academic and practical professionals by the description of the job profile of the supply chain managers and presentation of forms to achieve internal integration.
The factors involved in socialization that contribute to the processes of knowledge creation and innovation in the Brazilian electrical and electronics sector are presented. Managers of three hierarchical levels (strategic, tactical and operational) were selected as subjects of study. A Likert-type scale containing five variations, ranging from 'none' to 'many times' was applied in three medium-sized and big-sized plants, constituting a total 53 (fifty-three) respondents. Thus, the identification of aspects of socialization linked to the construction of knowledge, led to infer that there is such a socio-cultural process, which acts on innovation. Socialization occurs in the researched organizations through the use of various tactics, informal and formal, institutionalized and individual. The study of the contributions lead to a discussion on the process of inclusion of individuals in a given context as influential to construct knowledge focused on innovation. The influence of socialization is perceived, especially in behaviors of seeking, construction and sharing with peers and superiors. These factors support knowledge creation and innovation.

Introduction: The organizations' human dimension, because it is considered that the inset of people into their labor, use and acceptation of the available technological tools, consciousness of cooperation and into other factors that build the environment, contribute either to execution of the activities or the construction of knowledge. Purpose: To discuss the factors involved in the organizational socialization that contribute to the processes of creating knowledge and innovation at four food enterprises in the city of Marília -SP. Methodology: The research has a qualitative approach using the multiple study case in four food enterprises from the city of Marília/SP, each one of them of a size: micro, small, medium and large enterprise. The people of the research were the employees and the owners of the enterprises, who answered a semi-structured questionnaire, containing open and close questions, at their work place. Results: In the innovation processes fulfilled by the enterprises there were difficulties in different natures, including those caused by low qualification of the work force when facing the new patterns of doing their activities. However, through the development of the socialization practices focused on the innovation that occurred, those difficulties were overcome and that allowed them to accomplish new procedures and to reach the expected results. Conclusions: The studied enterprises revealed great differences regarding the need to institutionalize the socialization. An alternative to take advantage of the knowledge and convert it
