En este artículo me propongo reflexionar sobre la experiencia de investigación conducida desde 2012 respecto de la acción colectiva denominada Marcha de la Gorra, que tiene como propósito central demandar el cese de las prácticas de estigmatización social y persecución policial de las cuales son objeto los jóvenes de sectores populares de Córdoba (Argentina). He llamado a la estrategia metodológica construida en estos años “etnografía colectiva de eventos”, recreando la denominación propuesta por la antropóloga Borges y enfatizando el carácter coordinado y cooperativo del trabajo de varias investigadoras. Describo y discuto algunas particularidades que hacen a la práctica de la investigación etnográfica en una movilización juvenil de protesta, a partir del análisis de las vicisitudes del trabajo de campo que se despliega en dos cronotopos que he identificado como propios de esta marcha. Mi doble condición de investigadora y militante anima una reflexión crítica sobre la propia implicación.
En las últimas décadas en Argentina se ha desarrollado un campo de estudios sobre violencia policial, con énfasis en las prácticas de hostigamiento sufridas por jóvenes de sectores populares. Este artículo focaliza en el sentido subjetivo, es decir, las significaciones subjetivas y el registro emocional que estas experiencias tienen para las víctimas. En el marco de una estrategia metodológica cualitativa, se desarrollaron distintas técnicas conversacionales (entrevistas en profundidad, talleres socio-educativos, conversaciones en marcha). Verdugueo es una categoría local que los propios jóvenes utilizan para designar estas experiencias cotidianas, incluyendo uso de violencia física sobre los cuerpos y de la palabra con fines intimidatorios. Conjuga humillación y vergüenza como sentimientos predominantes y expresa el ejercicio de poder del estado policial cordobés, articulando discrecionalidad, impunidad y espectacularización.
El artículo se propone ofrecer claves interpretativas referidas a las experiencias de grupalidad de jóvenes cordobeses de sectores populares que se articulan con objetivos de expresividad cultural en sus territorios, interrogando sobre los posibles sentidos políticos que las mismas alojan. A tales efectos se opta por metodologías cualitativas (observación, entrevistas, registros de talleres, etc). El desarrollo de las prácticas que indagamos supone el encuentro cara a cara en pequeños grupos, lo cual se constituye en una dimensión analítica de interés, porque invita a pensar el soporte vincular de las acciones políticas. Se observa una suerte de oscilación entre objetivos vinculados al desarrollo de recreación, expresión y sociabilidad, y otros en los cuales la búsqueda de un sentido político parece articular sus prácticas como testimonio de la pertenencia a una cultura (popular) estigmatizada desde lo hegemónico.
<p>Este trabajo es el resultado de una investigación en curso, y se propone analizar las experiencias de uso del espacio público de jóvenes de sectores populares de Córdoba (Argentina). Estas están atravesadas por las denominadas “detenciones arbitrarias”: prácticas que se desarrollan de manera cotidiana y mayoritariamente en la calle cuando los jóvenes son demorados y violentados por los agentes policiales, sin mediar la comisión de un delito, sino simplemente la sospecha de que podrían realizarlo. El artículo focaliza en la dimensión subjetiva, particularmente en el registro emocional de los jóvenes que las padecen, y tiene como horizonte una reflexión en torno a la accesibilidad (real) a determinados espacios que son (formalmente) “públicos”.</p><p>Se desarrolló una investigación cualitativa que permitió concluir que la reiteración cotidiana de la experiencia de ser detenido y violentado produce una emocionalidad de indefensión e impotencia. En el espacio urbano cordobés se desarrolla esta escena cotidiana, donde los sujetos juveniles parecen ser meramente cuerpos que son sustraídos de la calle para ser trasladados y depositados en otro lugar. Se trata de una operatoria policial compulsiva que actualiza de manera constante una paradoja: la calle es pública, para algunos.</p>
