A dotação adequada de enfermeiros assegura a qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem possibilitando, assim, a segurança dos cuidados de saúde para o cliente e a persecução dos objetivos organizacionais. Objetivos: Identificar e sintetizar evidência sobre o impacto das dotações seguras na qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem. Método de Revisão: revisão sistemática da literatura, segundo a estratégia PICO na formulação da questão de investigação e a metodologia de Joanna Briggs Institute. Foram cinco as bases de dados consultadas: Medline, Cinahl, Scielo, Academic Search Complete e Web of Science. Aplicados critérios de inclusão: estudos que incluam enfermeiros e/ou clientes como participantes, a influência das dotações dos enfermeiros na segurança e qualidade dos cuidados; estudos disponíveis em full-text, em português ou inglês e entre 2007 e 2017. Resultados: Foram selecionados seis artigos de natureza quantitativa que relacionam o efeito de dotações adequadas à segurança e qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem, tendo igualmente influência na satisfação dos enfermeiros e clientes. Conclusão: Assegurar dotações seguras em enfermagem é primordial uma vez que melhora as condições de trabalho, com impacto na produtividade, desempenho e consequentemente nos cuidados prestados ao cliente.

Pregnancy is characterized by hormonal and physiological changes; some of these changes cause changes in sleep, presenting excessive sleep in early pregnancy due to the action of progesterone, and difficulty sleeping at the end of pregnancy due to weight gain and frequency of urination. Objective: to identify and systematize the evidence on the association between sleep quality and perinatal depression in pregnant and postpartum women. Methods: an integrative literature review was carried out with a search in the CINAHL, MEDLINE, and SCOPUS databases using the PRISMA flowchart. Results: Of the 92 articles, 10 studies were included according to the eligibility criteria. Results indicate that poor sleep quality during pregnancy is predictive of prenatal and postnatal depression. Sleep quality worsens with increasing gestational and maternal age. Conclusions: Sleep quality during pregnancy is associated with perinatal depression, a global public health problem with high prevalence. Due to its severe consequences for women, children, and families, perinatal depression needs to be identified early, preferably during pregnancy or soon after childbirth, justifying the priority of screening and prevention.

Background: Nurses' predisposition to change their profession lies within the scope of nurse turnover. Understanding the reasons why nurses want to switch to another organization or even leave the profession is important because this movement has a negative impact on the workgroup and the organization. Objective: To determine the propensity to leave the nursing profession. Methodology: Descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional, and quantitative study. The non-probability sample of 463 nurses was recruited through the snowball method. Results: The nurses who were under the age of 40 and worked in the public sector were more willing to leave the nursing profession. The greater the satisfaction with the profession and the greater the professional autonomy and recognition, the lower the nurses' probability to change to another profession. Conclusions: Health organizations should concentrate on retaining their nurses by adopting human resource strategies that value them and organizational models focused on motivation and satisfaction.

Objective: to understand the use of time by nurse managers in psychiatry and mental health units, as they carry out their daily tasks. Methods: cross-sectional study, carried out by 48 managers from public psychiatric units and from the social sector. Data collection was made through an online questionnaire that is part of the Scale of Perception of Nurse Manager Work, including 43 items separated in five functional domains of nurse managers. The responses were in a Likert scale: does not take time, takes little time, takes some time, takes much time. Results: the activities inherent to ethical and legal professional practices and to the management of care and of human resources required more time from the manager when compared to policy interventions, and consulting and professional development. Conclusion: the managers recognize that managing time implies organization, planning work, and establishing priorities in the tasks to be developed.
