This study was motivated by an institution implementing human resource management as a starting point for strategic planning for human resource career development, particularly for teachers at Islamic private universities. This implementation is expected to produce high quality output. This study will examine the implementation of strategies used by Muhammadiyah Malang University leaders when developing a human resource career. This study aims to determine the implementation of leadership strategies in human resource career development. This study uses a qualitative approach, which is a type of case study. Study data were collected through detailed interview, observation and documentation methods. Meanwhile, the analysis proceeded in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. On the other hand, validation of the data used in this study is validity, tolerability, reliability, and proof of competence. The results showed that Muhammadiyah Malang University (UMM) has implemented a career development strategy for teachers. Strategies implemented include HR strategies, professional development strategies, and career development strategies. All strategies were implemented after instructor recruitment. UMM has its own standards that instructors who will be part of UMM must meet. Meanwhile, human resource career development for instructors at UMM has been pursued in a number of ways, including seminars, workshops, staff training, applied approaches, short courses, guest lectures and character building and other auxiliary programs.
This research is motivated by a religious culture that is built and realized to instill values into students. Religious character culture is one method of comprehensive value education. In its embodiment, there is the inculcation of values, setting an example, and preparing the younger generation to be independent by teaching and facilitating responsible moral decisions and other life skills. The question of this research is how the strategy of implementing religious culture shapes students' character in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Tulungagung. This research uses a qualitative multi-site study approach. Data collection techniques used include in-depth interviews, participant observation, study documentation. The data collected were analyzed through the three techniques from a single site and cross-site analysis. At the time of data collection, the data was obtained and tested using the triangulation method and the persistence of observation and validity of the data. The results of this study indicate that the strategy for implementing religious culture in shaping students' character is carried out by a) Applying habituation with the habituation carried out within the individual will be faster to understand and understand religious culture contained in daily actions. b) Providing exemplary; c) Togetherness in religious civilizing activities.
The purpose of this study is to know how teacher performance management as a continuous performance process to equalize individual teacher goals and educational institutions also teacher performance series starting from the planning, implementation and evaluation phase which are oriented to minimum work standards in order to obtain income eligibility, benefits, and promotion or rank only which resulting in the performance of teachers dwelling on matters of an administrative nature and setting aside performance processes that produce output and outcome according to the objectives of educational institutions. This research used a qualitative research design by concerning to a phenomenon approach. Data collection techniques used by some steps such as observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis included single site analysis and cross-site analysis with data analysis techniques; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. This research produced four main findings among others; first, in pre-cycle stage with preparation for assessment and creating a teacher performance assessment team; second, the phase of planning with the phase of defining, discussing roles, responsibilities, and measurable expectations; third, the phase of coaching with the phase of observation, monitoring, support, feedback, and appreciation; the four phase of the teacher performance management cycle are performance evaluations.
This research is motivated by the design of curriculum development management which has a strategic position in increasing student excellence. Improving student excellence is an opportunity for madrasas as educational institutions that can produce a generation of superior, capable, strong character, following the civilization of the times. Madrasas that have curriculum development designs by taking into account the strengths of students in accordance with their respective potential advantages will provide space and opportunities for students to strengthen their character and excellence. This research uses a qualitative approach with a field research design. The results of this study are, the design of curriculum development that is centered on knowledge, the design of curriculum development in madrasas consists of planning based on the foundation, principles, and goals of education with the vision, mission of the madrasa and programs to increase student excellence determined by the educational institution.
This research is motivated by the law recognizing Ma'had Aly Lirboyo as a boarding school, as well as the demands for output (graduates) to be able to compete professionally, along with advances in technology, information and dynamic globalization. Ma'had Aly is required to be brave and innovative in implementing a curriculum that is able to survive, compete, contribute, fill, be a pioneer, and be able to solve all problems of society in the future. For this reason, the author raises the case study of Ma'had Aly Lirboyo. In the view of the researcher, the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School which since ancient times has maintained its existence as a salaf education that continues to evolve, is now starting to organize the Ma'had Aly curriculum program in order to produce millennial santri.This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study approach which is an empirical knowledge search process to investigate and examine various phenomena in real-life contexts. The technique of checking the validity of the data in this study includes several elements: dependability, credibility, transferability and confirmability.From the results of this study, the authors conclude that, 1) the curriculum design of Ma'had Aly Lirboyo Kediri by integrating the treasures of the pesantren based on the teaching materials of the yellow books (Turats), 2) the structure of the curriculum of Ma'had Aly Lirboyo Kediri, with the Fiqh Study Program and Usul Fiqh includes the substance of learning taken in one level in 4 years or 8 semesters.3) The implementation of the Ma'had Aly Lirboyo Kediri curriculum is based on the potential, development, and condition of the santri to master the competencies that are useful for themselves, 4) the results of the Ma'had Aly Lirboyo Kediri curriculum make santri nâsyir al 'ilmi (can spread religious knowledge), can apply the yellow book (Turats), create santri who are tafaqquh fi ad din, behave well in the midst of the era of technological progress.
The education management has developed an integrated curriculum between attitude, knowledge and skill assessment based on strengthening character education, because education plays a role in producing high-quality human resources who have balanced intellectual, moral and spiritual abilities. To realize this, the integration of the curriculum between educational institutions should be carried out both in pesantren education and school education. This study aims to formulate and analyze the process of integrative curriculum management both planning, implementation of Islamic boarding school education and school education in order to be able to improve the quality of education. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with a multicase study design. Data collection techniques in this study used interview, participant observation and documentation. The results showed that (1) The planning of an integrative curriculum for pesantren education and school education in improving the quality of education is carried out in three forms, namely conducting coordination meetings, reviewing the curriculum and preparing learning tools. (2) The implementation of an integrative curriculum for pesantren education and school education in improving the quality of education is carried out by integrating cottage subjects in learning activities at school, carrying out habituation activities and using cottage books as reference material in school learning. (3) Evaluation of the integrative curriculum of pesantren education and school education in improving the quality of education is carried out in the form of daily tests, Qur'an certification exams, mid-semester assessments, end-of-semester assessments and supervision of the curriculum.
