Die Entdeckung einer neuen, der Benzoinreaction vergleichbaren Reaction der Anilverbindungen B), die zur Kenntniss einer weiteren Ileihe isomerer Derivate hhrte, dlirfte das Interesse noch vermehrt habon.Angesichts dieser zahlreichen und interessanten Thatsachen mochte es als ein verfchltes Unternehmen erscheinen, der Reaction zwischen Aldehyden und aromatischen Aminen noch eine neue Seite abgcwinnen zu wollen, und doch ist die Reactionsftlhigkeit der aliphatiscken Aldehyde eine derart mannigfache, dass man hoffen durfte, von ihnen noch weitere Derivate zn erhalten. In der That Bind die bereits envahnten Condenaationsproducte aliphatischer Aldehyde mit aromatischen Aminen nicht dio allein moglichen. Wtlhrend ngmlich, wie erwlhnt, von aromatischen Aldehyden bisher kein dem Hydrobenzamid analoges Derivat mit aromatischen Aminen bekannt ist, scheinen die aliphatischen Aldehyde allgemein die Fahigkeit zu besitzen, mit aromatisch substituirte,n Ammoniaken auch solche Bnhydroverbindungen zu liefern, bei welchen das Verhaltniss zwischen Aldehyd-und Aminrest ein arideres ah 1 : 1 ist. Der Einfluss des Phenyls. scheint zwar die Bildung von dem Hexamethylentetramin yon B u tl e r o u' s , oder dem Tri-i-butylidendiamin von A. L i p p lo) analog constituirten Derivaten zu verhindern, gestattet aber noch das Auftreten yon Condensatiousproducten aus h e m Moleklil Aldehyd und zwei Moleklilen Amin.
