Show more

“…Low-energy ultrasonic application is preferred in determining the physicochemical properties such as composition, hardness, and maturity of the food. Because a small amount of energy output will not cause chemical and physical degradation in the material affected by the wave (Ercan and Soysal, 2011;Dedebaş et al, 2021).…”

“…This method uses less solvent, and the process is completed in a shorter time. [9] Acoustic cavitation forming during ultrasonication creates microbubbles. These bubbles explode at certain intervals and damage the cells, ensuring better penetration of the intracellular components into the solvent.…”

“…Solvent extraction that is most commonly used with hexane as a solvent is among the traditional extraction methods, but in recent years, effective methods such as cold pressing and ultrasoundassisted solvent extraction methods have been used to produce edible oils (Yetim and Kesmen, 2009). These pressing and ultrasonic applications stand out as a key technology in achieving the goal of sustainable "green extraction" (Dedebaş et al, 2021). "Green extraction" offers some potential to minimize or eliminate the toxic effects of organic solvents, and with a better quality to extract bioactive lipid-soluble compounds (Ramadan, 2020).…”
