Besides tin mining, oil palm plantations are also being carried out. On the other hand, this region is well known as a producer of good quality white pepper which in 2010 its reputation was legally registered as a geographical indication. This protection is given due to the environmental factor in this region which cause the quality of white pepper in this region is different from pepper in other region. However, the massive opening of oil palm plantations causes Pepper plantation area in Bangka and Belitung continues to decrease. This study uses empirical juridical methods; linking the effect of tin mining and oil palm plantations with the reputation of white pepper as a geographical indication. It uses primary and secondary data in which the primary is obtained from the results of interviews while the secondary data is obtained from literature study data on a number of documents. From the results of the conducted study, it was found that the oil palm plantations which reduce the area of pepper plantations and also change the quality make impact to the reputation. The impact can eliminate the reputation of white pepper as a juridical geographical indication and at the same time automatically end the legal protection of white pepper as a geographical indication.

Liberica coffee is a type of coffee that is adaptable to peatlands. The farmers in Jambi has been using peatland to grow Liberica coffee. However, after more than 15 years the productivity started to decline by 25%. This study aims to increase the productivity of Liberica coffee in tidal peat soils. The study used a randomized block design with soil ameliorants as treatments, namely (P0 as control) no ameliorants, (P1) dolomite, (P3) manure, (P4) biofertilizer, (P5) dolomite + manure, and (P6) manure + biofertilizer. Four replications were used with plot size 2 x 5 plants. The total samples of the study were 280 plants. Maintenance of the area and plants includes weeding, cleaning tertiary channels, cleaning the plant areas. Simultaneously, parameters observed, including the number of branches, number of bunch/branches, number of berries, berries production, number of berries/100 g. Vegetative parameters were the increase in plant height and number of branches. Another parameter was soil analysis. The results showed that amelioration of peatland increased nutrition in the Liberica coffee leaf. Dolomite application increased the P, Mg, and Fe levels. In contrast, manure increased N, K, and Fe, biofertilizers or dolomite combined with manure increased N, P, K, and Fe. In contrast, the combination of dolomite and biofertilizer increased P, K, and manure, and biofertilizer increased N, P, and Fe in Liberica coffee leaf. Dolomite increased plant height up to 0,76 cm and the number of branches up to 5,05 branches/plant of the Liberica coffee. Dolomite application also increased productivity up to 47.96%, manure 30.69%, while other soil ameliorants can increase productivity by 4.11% to 11.87%. Dolomite, manure, and biofertilizer application can improve berries quality by 5%.

Legal certainty for Communal Intellectual Property protection on the inventory and record-keeping arrangements in terms of ownership proof in Indonesia, has increasingly been regulated in various regulations. However, threats are also growing. Traditional Cultural expression works are easily turned into personal video works. Along with that, such works are also vulnerable as those are easily threatened by Artificial intelligence’s ability to express works made from previous works of art such as paintings. This article aims to analyze Traditional Cultural Expressions protection which are transformed or adapted into personal works or works made by Artificial Intelligence and the measures to overcome these threats. The results show that referring to Government Regulation 56/2022, the commercial use of Traditional Cultural Expressions works both in the form of adaptation and transformation by individual humans and Artificial Intelligence is required to obtain a permit and pay attention to the distribution of benefits which will further be determined by the Minister. However, regulations on this mechanism has not been explicitly regulated. Measures to overcome threats can be made through measures to turn threats into opportunities and strengths. It is also relevant to prioritize countervailing measures, namely by following the pattern of threats as a balancing act.
