Antenatal anxiety is one of the factors causing complications in pregnancy, childbirth and infants. It is estimated that more than 20% of pregnant women experience antenatal anxiety, but most cases of antenatal anxiety are not reported because the current antenatal assessment is more focused on physical examination. This research aimed to identify antenatal anxiety and analyzed of factors related to the incidence of antenatal anxiety. This research was a Descriptive with Cross Sectional method. Data collection has been carried out from July to August 2018 using Pregnancy Related Questionnaire Anxiety revised 2 (PRAQ-r2), the questionnaire for sociodemographic consisted of age, education, economic status, health behavior, age of pregnancy, parity, status of obstetrics and questionnaires for family support. Sample of the research was 160 respondents. Data analyzed using chi-square. The result of research were found pregnant women who participated fill in the questionnaires were 144 from 160 (response rate 90,62%). Pregnant women who experienced antenatal anxiety as many as 38 people (26,4 %) and who have never experienced antenatal anxiety as many as 106 people (73.6 %). Factors associated with antenatal anxiety include parity (p = 0,003), the status of obstetrics (p = 0.000), the gestational age (p = 0,001), family support (p = 0,000) and health behavior (p = 0,00). The Conclusion of this research was that anxiety is a mental disorder that often occurs in pregnant women, so the importance of understanding the factors associated with antenatal anxiety in order to be able in planning midwifery care and develops interventions holistically.
