The learning process has changed totally since the implementation of the distance learning policy (Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh-PJJ). Lecturers and students are required to be able to optimize the internet. This article discusses the process of Maharah Qira’ah using e-learning in UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. This research is a qualitative study by describing data found in the field in depth. The data were collected through Google Forms, observation, distribution of questionnaires through Google Forms, and online interviews through social media and documentation. The results showed that the e-learning media used in Maharah Qira’ah classes are WhatsApp, Zoom, Youtube, Instagram, and Facebook applications, where Whatsapp is more significant than other media. In an effort to realize reading skills, the lecturers designed the lesson by demanding students to understand Qira'ah texts sent through WhatsApp Group, by writing new vocabulary found in the text, recording their readings, and sending them to WhatsApp Group, followed by solving 10 problems, and then discuss them with the lecturers and the other students. This study found that there is a shift in learning maharah qira’ah using e-learning from student center to media center. It means that the process depends on technology is more significant than dependence on teachers. This study also found that learning mahara qira'ah with conventional methods is more preferred by students than using e-learning. Although the teacher explains the material in depth and provides assignments that support student learning.

Qawaid Nahwu’s Learning Contribution to Reading Skills

This study aimed to determine and analyze the contribution of qawa’id nahwu learning in improving reading skills in Arabic language program students. This study uses a qualitative method with the data source selected by purposive sampling. The types of data in this study were primary data and secondary data. In contrast, the data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and subject interpretation of the questions posed by the researcher. The data analysis technique uses data reduction stages, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The results showed that the qawa’id nahwu method implemented for students proved to be more effective in improving reading abilities and skills in learning Arabic when compared to conventional methods. Other findings indicate that there are still inhibiting factors in implementing the qawa’id nahwu method, including environmental factors and internal factors from the individual students themselves. Therefore, efforts to overcome the obstacles of learning qawa’id nahwu can pay attention to five external factors: the competence of Arabic language lecturers, the learning methods used, the Arabic language material being taught, adequate infrastructure facilities, and a supportive environment.

Purpose: This study aims to describe the forms of Arabic language interference on terminologies in the domains of science, technology, and art. Methodology: The study was conducted morphophonologically using descriptive-analytical research methods. The descriptive-analytic research method was used to facilitate the achievement of goals specified in this study. The data findings were reviewed using the distributional method. Main Findings: The study found that language interference is an aspect of vocabulary development and enrichment, which requires harmonization of speech sounds. The results showed that in the Arabic language, interference produced partial absorption and full absorption. Phonologically, partial absorption occurred through the absorption of sound elements at the beginning or end of a word. Applications: Understanding the issue of language transfer in the development of Arabic vocabulary is useful for non- native Arabic speakers. The findings can also help Arabic teachers revise their teachings methods accordingly. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributed to a better understanding of the forms of phonological interference of foreign languages into the Arabic language. These forms can be represented as partial absorption, total absorption, and sound change. While in morphological forms, interference causes different developments of word patterns from classical Arabic.
