Developing STEM-Based Student Worksheet to Improve Students’ Creativity and Motivation of Learning Science

The Student worksheet based on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) has been prepared, validated, and tested on students at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. The worksheet guided the students to design a salt-making tool with a sunlight-gathering mirror. The worksheet was developed using the ADDIE model of the research and development (R&D) method. The subjects of the study consisted of 31 students divided into some groups consisting of 6 participants for each. The students were given problems and examples of saltproducing tools using a sunlight-collecting mirror. The purpose of this activity was to let them observe and modify according to their creativity. Based on the assessment of the tool model produced by students, the gained score reached an average score of 91 (very good). After the learning process, the learning outcomes increased with an average of 42 to 70. The science learning motivation and creativity scores of the students after the implementation reached 76 (good) and 79 (good).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Giving Questions and Getting Answer (GQGA) terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Al-Falah Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain true eksperimental - postest only control desain. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pilihan ganda dan lembar observasi. Dari pengumpulan data yang telah diperoleh, hasil perhitungan didapat nilai rata-rata aspek kognitif kelas eksperimen sebesar 75,38 dan rata-rata aspek afektif sebesar 77,38, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol rata-rata aspek kognitif sebesar 65,00 dan rata-rata aspek afektif sebesar 71,03. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa, aspek kognitif dengan nilai t0 ≥ tt yaitu 2,00 < 2,96 > 2,65, dengan effect size 0,8 atau 79% (kategori cukup tinggi), sedangkan aspek afektif dengan nilai t0 ≥ tt yaitu 2,00 < 4,81 > 2,65, dengan effect size 1,23 atau 88% (kategori tinggi) Berdasarkan data tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan strategi pembelajaran Giving Questions and Getting Answer (GQGA) terhadap hasil belajar biologi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Kota Jambi. Hasil penelitian ini menyarankan agar guru menerapkan Strategi Pembelajaran Giving Questions and Getting Answer (GQGA) dalam pembelajaran biologi khususnya pada materi sistem ekskresi. Learning model are useful for helping students to learn and to provide an environment for interactive students experiences. Therefore, learning model has a strategic role especially for the achievement of entrepreneurial character building in students. Furthermore, the challenges that occur in the internalization of entrepreneurial values at University of Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung (UNMUH BABEL) were that the character of students still does not show entrepreneurial stretching, such as students experience and interest in business-related activities. Whereas the expected learning environment such as student cooperatives is not yet available, that students only get experience from the courses and students actively participating in student activity units related to entrepreneurship and their activities are not optimal because only a small proportion are active. That situation made entrepreneurship course must be good managed as well as possible which requires a learning model accompanied by the ability of the lecturer to maximize the internalization process. The quantum learning model was a model that could anticipate of the challenges found in entrepreneurship learning, especially for Primary School Teacher Study Program students. The result of this research used a basic study for further entrepreneurship development model in UNMUH BABEL. The aim of this research was to know of the students perceptions of the quantum learning model used in the Entrepreneurship course. Furthermore, to describe the learning process that has been carried out. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The data were collected through questionnaire of students perception. The subject in this study were 50 students form a total of 124 students who have experienced entrepreneurship learning. The result of this research showed that perception of Enroll (75%); Demonstrate (74%); Review (75%); and Celebrate (77%) were included good category. However the Experiences (54%) and the Label (41%) were included passably category. The conclusion of this research was quantum learning model could be to improve the students entrepreneurial skills based on their perception and experiences.
