“…In this group of experiments, they were found essentially equipotent in mice, although other worked3, 78 have found d-tubocurarine to be more potent than the methyl ether, which is the direct opposite of the relationship between the two agents in rabbits, dogs, and man. 72 Marsh and Herring's results with C-curarine I and toxiferine-I are comparable to those of Waser, particularly if any allowance is made for differences in water of crystallization, differences in age of sample, and mechanical errors in weighing the very small samples. They were supposed to have received 1 mg. of toxiferine-I and 2.5 mg. of C-curarine I for their investigations, but their scales indicated only 880 micrograms of the one and 2400 micrograms of the other, respectively.…”
