A B S T R A C TLandfill leachates have considerable amounts of organic matter and mineral nutrients and, when applied in environmentally adequate amounts, show fertilizing potential for the soil-plant system. This study aimed to analyze the effect of landfill leachate (LFL) and the public-supply water (PSW) depths on the contents of trace elements in an Ultisol. This work was carried out from April 21 to August 21, 2012, in split-split-plot scheme; LFL and PSW depths (T1 -0 mm of LFL and 1067 mm of PSW; T2 -60 mm of LFL and 1067 mm of PSW, T3 -120 mm of LFL and 1067 of PSW, T4 -180 mm of LFL and 1067 of PSW, and T5 -240 mm of LFL and 1067 mm of PSW) in the plots, the analyzed layers (0-0.2 m and 0.2-0.4 m) in the subplots and the sampling times (0, 30, 60, 90 and 120 days) in the sub-subplots. Soil samples were collected every 30 days for 120 days to characterize the trace elements Fe, Mn, Pb, Cd, Zn, Cu and Ni. There was leaching of Pb, Cd and Ni in the Ultisol, while the T2 treatment was the most recommended to prevent contamination of groundwater.Elemento traços em um argissolo irrigado com percolado de aterro e água de abastecimento público R E S U M O Os percolados de aterros sanitários possuem aportes apreciáveis de matéria orgânica e nutrientes minerais e, quando aplicados em quantidades ambientalmente adequadas, revelam fertilizante potencial para o sistema solo-planta. Objetivou-se analisar o efeito de lâminas de percolado de aterro sanitário (LFL) e água de abastecimento público (PSW) nos teores de elementos traços em um argissolo. O experimento foi montado no período de 21/04 de 2012 a 21/08 de 2012, em esquema de parcelas subsubdivididas tendo, nas parcelas, as lâminas de LFL e PSW (T1 -0 mm de LFL e 1067 mm de PSW; T2 -60 mm de LFL e 1067 mm de PSW; T3 -120 mm de LFL e 1067 de PSW; T4 -180 mm de LFL e 1067 de PSW; e T5 -240 mm de LFL e 1067 mm de PSW); nas subparcelas as profundidades analisadas (0 a 0,2 m e 0,2 a 0,4 m) e nas subsubparcelas os tempos de amostragem (0, 30, 60, 90 e 120 dias). Amostras de solo foram coletadas a cada 30 dias durante 120 dias para caracterização dos elementos traço Fe, Mn, Pb, Cd, Zn, Cu e Ni. Houve lixiviação de Pb, Cd e Ni no argissolo enquanto o tratamento T2 foi o mais recomendado para evitar a contaminação do lençol freático. Os elementos-traço podem estar presentes no solo tanto por causas naturais quanto por adições antropogênicas, sendo esta última preocupante, visto que eles não podem ser degradados e acumulam no ambiente. Estudos indicam altos teores de elementos-traço em áreas de disposição final de resíduos sólidos urbanos (RSU), porém isso nem sempre ocorre. Assim, este trabalho buscou verificar se a disposição de RSU da cidade de Pontes e Lacerda/MT, alterou a qualidade do solo local, analisando-se os atributos de fertilidade e os teores dos elementos-traço As, Ba, Co, Cu, Cr, Cd, Hg, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sb, Se e Zn. Foram realizadas coletas de solo na área ativa de disposição final de RSU e em áreas de vegetação nativa, no entorno da mesma, totalizando 20 amostras na profundidade 0-0,20 m. Foram verificadas alterações nos atributos químicos, em especial, acidez ativa e potencial, as quais foram menores na área ativa de disposição final de RSU. Já a saturação por bases e os teores de K foram mais elevados na área ativa de disposição final de RSU. Os teores de As foram mais elevados na área de vegetação nativa. Os teores de Cd, Hg, Sb e As foram elevados, inclusive na área de vegetação nativa, sendo assim, recomenda-se a realização de novos estudos para a confirmação desses resultados. Foram observados teores acima dos VP da Resolução CONAMA 420/2009 para o As, Sb, Cd, Cu e Hg nas áreas estudadas.

Environmental pollution by toxic heavy metals is one of the most serious issues that world populations have to cope with. In fact, it occurs in industrial and in agricultural regions. Lead is one of the most toxic for humans and plants with great damage for the environment. Phytotoxic activities have been registered in scientific literature by several researchers who reported its effects in many vegetal species. In fact, lead accumulation in the soil causes damage to the development of plants due to a greater concentration in the roots and distributes itself to several tissues. When absorbed by the plant can be distributed to different tissues by means of a complex network of homeostasis, causing molecular and biochemical disorders. Despite the high toxicity of lead, some plant species have been tolerant of its presence and may be used in the decontamination of soil by phytoremediation. Current research is a revision of the literature on the ecotoxicological effects of heavy metals, especially lead, and present the current technical soil remediation contaminated by the metal. CHUMBO NAS PLANTAS: UMA BREVE REVISÃO SOBRE SEUS EFEITOS,MECANISMOS TOXICOLÓGICOS E REMEDIAÇÃO RESUMO A poluição ambiental por metais pesados tóxicos é um dos graves problemas enfrentados pela população mundial, estando presente nas indústrias e nas regiões agrícolas. Dentre os metais pesados, o chumbo tem sido um dos mais tóxicos para o homem e para as plantas, causando grandes preocupações ambientais. A sua ação fitotóxica tem sido reportada na literatura científica por diversos pesquisadores, que têm verificado os seus efeitos em diversas espécies de plantas. O chumbo tende a acumular no solo provocando danos ao desenvolvimento das plantas, principalmente nos tecidos radiculares. Entretanto, uma vez absorvido pelo vegetal, pode se distribuir para os diferentes tecidos por meio de uma complexa rede de homeostase, causando distúrbios bioquímico e molecular. Apesar da alta toxicidade do chumbo, algumas espécies de plantas têm apresentado tolerância a se desenvolver em sua AGRARIAN ACADEMY, Centro Científico Conhecer -Goiânia, v.2, n.03; p. 2015 2 presença, sendo estudadas como prováveis remediadoras do solo contaminado, por meio da técnica de fitorremediação. O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi fazer uma revisão de literatura sobre os mecanismos e efeitos toxicológicos dos metais pesados, particularmente do chumbo, nas plantas, assim como apresentar técnicas atuais que buscam remediar o solo contaminado por esse metal.
