Abstract-This study was conducted to research and develop an EmbeddedEngineering Learning on Social Cloud Model (EEL on SC Model) to enhance creative thinking and creative production. The aims of this study were 1) to design an EEL on SC Model to develop creative thinking and creative production and 2) to evaluate an EEL on SC Model. The research method was divided into two phases. The first phase involved the design of the model: 1) to study, analyze, and synthesize the content; 2) to arrange the Embedded Engineering Learning Model process; and 3) to summarize the results. The second phase involved the model evaluation. The sample group in this research consisted of seven experts in the fields of design embedded systems information technology and instructional design. These experts were selected by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using arithmetic means and standard deviations. The process of developing an EEL on SC Model has 7 components that have 22 procedures. The model helps to develop creative thinking and creative production of the learners. The experts agreed with the overall model and had a learning activity that was appropriate at a very good level.

Social Cloud-Based Cognitive Reasoning for Task-Oriented Recommendation

The Social Internet of Things (SIoT) is recently being promoted in literature for enabling the integration of devices into users' daily life. This integration can be achieved by taking advantage of the inter-connectivity and the user-friendliness offered by Social Network Services (SNS). The novel SIoT paradigm opens the door for studying the intelligence mechanisms required to enhance services adaptability. We study the integration of cognitive reasoning into SIoT for providing recommendation of quotidian tasks in smart homes. In order to achieve situation characterization, reasoning about physical as well as social aspects of context is required. Thus, as a service built on top of Social Cloud (SoC), we propose an intelligent recommendation (InRe) framework. This framework applies the reasoning mechanism on context elements which are represented using ontologies. ThigsChat is provided as a proof-of-concept prototype. Initial experiments indicate a considerable improvement in adaptability of recommendation results to users' situations.

Cloud computing is the new era of technology, it uses virtualization and automation to provide user with self-service computing products that provide infinite scale at low cost. It serves user in many ways such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) etc. While serving as an IaaS it is inevitable that resources must be provided in an efficient way in order to meet the Service Level Agreement (SLA). This paper mainly addresses challenges, performance issues and techniques for resource allocation in cloud computing.
