The object of this study is the cross-country ability of four-wheel drive vehicles under off-road conditions. Based on the results of analysis of known studies, it was determined that the procedures of experimental assessment of the load-bearing capacity of bearing surfaces (BS), based on the use of the cone index, are used in NATO member countries. They take into account the characteristics of the surface of the theater of operations and make it possible to determine the approximate speeds of all-wheel drive vehicles with the help of standardized computer software. In the procedures for assessing the load-bearing capacity of BSs, which use the soil deformation module E, there is no possibility for calculating the speed of the car with known axle loads. In addition, they provide for the determination of a number of parameters of the bearing surface, such as the coefficient of adhesion, the angle of internal friction in the soil, and the shear modulus during the formation of a track. This makes them much more difficult compared to the procedures used by NATO. Therefore, the problem that is solved in this work is to improve the methodology for assessing the reference cross-country ability of four-wheel drive vehicles. Based on the results of scientific research, motion modeling was carried out in the MATLAB Simulink environment to determine parameters of reference cross-country ability of four-wheel drive vehicles. In order to determine the cross-country ability of samples of wheeled military vehicles (WMV) based on the indicator of the maximum pressure value (mean measure pressure – MMP), the conducted experimental studies were analyzed. They showed a difference in the speed modes of vehicles of the same gross weight but different layout schemes, within 11–12 %. Therefore, the methodology for assessing the cross-country ability based on MMP has been improved to take into account the features of the layout of WMV samples. Specifically, taking into account the different values of loads on the front axle of vehicles with hoodless and hood layouts at the same gross weight. In general, the improved procedure makes it possible to give a quantitative assessment of the movement mobility of WMV samples with various layout schemes and an assessment of their potential cross-country ability on the basis of the proposed refinement of MMP calculation

The experience of combat use of military communications equipment indicates the need to modernize the requirements for tactical and technical characteristics not only for individual samples, but also for entire families of vehicles. The existing automobile base, where means and equipment of communication of the security and defense sector are transported, is based on the automobile fleet of technically outdated equipment of the GAZ, Zil, Kamaz, Maz, Ural brands and their modifications, whose technical support is located in Russia and Belarus. With the advent of cyber threats, from which it is necessary to protect information and communication nodes, there was a need to form new divisions of the security and defense sector. Accordingly, there was a need to equip these divisions with complex hardware in accordance with the accepted model range. Domestic manufacturers PJSC Avtokraz and LLC Tritel took their own initiative. However, the lack of a systematic approach and proactive nature create prerequisites for solving the problem. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the tactical and technical characteristics and individual requirements for the future complex hardware communication and cybersecurity, namely the automobile base, the list of communication tools for the needs of units of the security and defense sector of Ukraine. To achieve this goal, the article solves partial tasks: analyzes the current state of publications on the research topic; justifies a new solution. The paper provides justification of tactical and technical characteristics of complex hardware communications and cybersecurity for the needs of units of the security and defense sector of Ukraine. The result obtained is scientific and advisory in nature. The final approval of the tactical and technical characteristics of integrated hardware communications and cybersecurity for the needs of units of the security and defense sector of Ukraine remains with the right of the customer.

Представлена опрацьована імітаційна модель руху універсальних колісних транспортних засобів типу Mercedes-Benz Unimog, що поєднує в собі як функції невеликого колісного трактора, так і повнопривідної вантажівки для руху, зокрема й бездоріжжям, у програмному середовищі MATLAB Simulink на технологічних операціях (обробка ґрунту) та в транспортному режимі. Математичний опис взаємодії коліс та навісного обладнання з поверхнею ґрунту, що деформується, ґрунтується на так званій WES-методиці армії США, що є загальноприйнятою і за межами НАТО та суттєво відрізняється від методології, прийнятої в колишньому СРСР. Оцінка фізико-механічних властивостей опорної поверхні на базі так званого конусного індексу СІ, який визначається стандартизованим вимірюванням опору деформацій конусоподібним пенетрометром, дозволить більш адекватно змоделювати процеси взаємодії колеса з пневматичною шиною з поверхнею, що деформується, та, відповідно, більш адекватно здійснити як оцінку адекватності конкретних конструкцій машин, так і нових моделей машин під час проєктних робіт. У процесі проєктних робіт щодо малотоннажної повнопривідної універсальної колісної машини, що дає змогу виконувати як технологічні операції обробітку ґрунту (аграрна та комунальна сфери), так і забезпечувати транспортування вантажів, зокрема й в умовах бездоріжжя, визначальним є формування необхідного діапазону передатних чисел трансмісії, зокрема необхідних значень знижувальних передач роздавальної коробки як для транспортного, так і технологічного режимів роботи. Наша праця присвячена формуванню відповідної імітаційної моделі руху.
