Beauty surrounds us in many ways every day. In three experience sampling (ESM) studies we investigated frequency, category of eliciting stimuli (natural vs human-made) and, the potential moderating role of several individual difference measures on such everyday experiences of beauty in an ecologically valid manner. Further, we explored the impact of such experiences on valence & arousal. Study 1 re-analysed data from a previous study, in line with the current aims. In Studies 2 and 3, we asked participants to report daily experiences of beauty using a mixed random and event-contingent sampling schedule. Mobile notifications (random sampling) prompted participants to take a photo and rate the beauty of their surroundings. Further, current valence and arousal were assessed. Notification frequency and total days of participation differed between these two studies. Participants were able to report additional experiences outside of the notification windows (event-contingent sampling). Our results indicate that we frequently encounter beauty in everyday life and that we find it in nature, in particular. Our results further suggest a mood-boosting effect of encounters with beauty. Lastly, our results indicate influences of individual differences however, these were inconclusive and require further attention.

The field of telecommunications technology has undergone significant changes in recent years, particularly with the development and commercial use of 4G and 5G technologies. As 5G technology becomes increasingly prevalent in Indonesia, it is important to explore the ideal network configurations that can achieve desired data rates in areas with high user densities. This study focuses on femtocell networks, which are compact base stations that require minimal power and are ideal for indoor use. Specifically, the study examines three alternative MIMO antenna scenarios, which are Multi-Input Multi-Output antenna designs that can improve data throughput. The study's simulation results indicate that a 16X16 MIMO design offers the best performance in achieving data rates of 1Gbps for all users in a high-density site. This design outperforms 4X4 and 8X8 MIMO arrangements in terms of data throughput, making it the ideal network configuration for femtocell networks in areas with high user densities. The findings of this study can be applied to the deployment and optimization of femtocell networks, which can improve network capacity and data rates for users in indoor environments. As 5G technology continues to advance, the findings of this study will be increasingly relevant and useful for optimizing network configurations and achieving desired data rates.

Purpose: By demonstrating that by adopting the principles of responsible urban innovation, we can harness the potential of digital technology to address urbanization issues and can minimize potential negative impacts.Methods: The paper proposes a conceptual framework for accountable urban innovation, focusing on government AI systems, and draws on a literature review, practical examples, and research. The authors argue that responsible urban innovation must balance the costs, benefits, risks, and impacts of developing, implementing, and using AI systems in local government management. This approach emphasizes the importance of achieving desired urban outcomes while ensuring accountability.Results: The framework provides potential directions for future research and development, offering an overview of recognized topics and a schedule for analysis. This research may assist urban managers, planners, and decision-makers in understanding the critical role that government AI systems play in achieving accountable outcomes. By adopting responsible urban innovation principles, we can harness the potential of digital technology to address urbanization issues while minimizing potential negative impacts.Novelty: The conceptual framework presented in this study offers a new view in understanding the role of local government AI systems in achieving accountable outcomes.
