Relationships of diversity and evenness in adaptation strategies of the effect of protective coloration of animals

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the relationship between the diversity and uniformity of the protective coloration of animals. The protective coloration of animals is the result of the formation of adaptation strategies. The aim of this study is to identify the colorimetric parameters that characterize the adaptive properties of the protective coloration of animals in relation to their natural habitat. The relevance of this study is related to the importance of the tasks of remote collection of information abou… Show more

“…An important role in the strategy of its functioning is played by the destruction of the integral visual perception of the contour of the animal, especially its marginal sections 14 . This aspect in the works 16,17 is associated with the diversity and evenness of APC. Moreover, the ratio of diversity and evenness of APC is given in relation to the evolutionary history of different animal species.…”

“…In [25,26], these differences are interpreted as related to the relationship of diversity and evenness in the CP of plant communities of habitats and APC. The regularities of the vegetation background CP dynamics described in [27] show a certain similarity with the so-called Margalef model of succession [28].…”

“…The work [29] shows, based on the patterns described in [25,26], the procedure for processing digital images of coastal shallow sections of the river bottom. It makes it possible to identify changes in systemic CPs that serve as markers for the appearance of small, commensurate with Gambusia sp., representatives of the ichthyofauna.…”
