Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku cerita digital berbasis Task-Based Learning Teaching (TBLT) untuk memfasilitasi kegiatan literasi siswa kelas 11 SMA N 1 Sawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian Design and Development yang memiliki empat tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan 4 instrumen yaitu: lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, angket, dan ceklis. Hasil penilaian ahli mengungkapkan bahwa produk final buku cerita digital memperoleh nilai sangat baik dari segi kualitas, dianggap valid untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran, dan diyakini mampu mendorong kegiatan literasi pada siswa kelas 11. Berdasarkan uji coba kelompok kecil kepada 10 orang siswa kelas 11 dan guru, diketahui bahwa buku cerita digital yang berbasis Task-Based Learning Teaching (TBLT) ini dapat menarik minat literasi siswa dan mampu mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam berbahasa Inggris. Buku cerita ini juga mendapatkan respons yang sangat baik dari guru maupun siswa. Produk buku cerita digital mampu membuat siswa antusias dalam belajar dan literasi dengan media baru yang dikembangkan. Abstract: This study aimed to develop a digital storybook based on Taks-Based Learning Teaching (TBLT) stages to facilitate literacy activities for 11th-grade students of State Senior High School (SMA N) 1 Sawan. This research employed the four stages Design and Development research model, of which steps are analysis, design, development, and evaluation. Research data were collected using four instruments, namely: observation sheet, interview guides, questionnaires, and checklist. The results of the expert's judgement revealed that the digital storybook draft obtained excellent grades in terms of its quality, was considered valid to be used as a learning medium, and was believed to be able to encourage literacy activities in grade 11 students. Based on small group trials on grade 11 students and teachers, it was found that storybooks Taks-Based Learning Teaching (TBLT)-based digital media attracted students' literacy interest and was able to develop students' abilities in English. This storybook also received a very good response from teachers and students. This digital storybook product showed that it made students enthusiastic about learning and literacy with the new media developed.

The advent of COVID-19 and the subsequent national lockdown has catapulted higher education institutions into emergency remote teaching. It is make the students must study from home. Multimodality is an emergent phenomenon that may influence how digital learning is designed. By the Multimodal the teacher and the students can study well, eventhough they are at home. Multimodal employed in highly interactive and immersive learning environments. In this research, the author investigates and analyzes the multimodal theory and proposes an effective way to teach English in higher education under the multimodal vision. This study aims to analyze the multimodal approach theory and proposes an effective way to teach English in higher education under the multimodal vision. The instrument used by the writer in this research is a questioner and interview. The interview was made after administering the questionnaires to verify the students’ responses. The questioner is sent by G-form. From the data and analysis that have been completed from the results of the questionnaire regarding the students’ interest in learning English. There are 47 respondents. The respondents or 93.7 % were attracted to learn English by Multimodal Approach. It means that the Multimodal Approach help to improve the quality of English language teaching in higher education institutions. This study aims to find out how students' perspectives on learning English use 21st century learning strategies through a multimodal approach to teaching English for EFL students. A lecture was conducted online for one semester (four months) by using Islamic topics as learning materials. The learning materials were presented and discussed, then students were asked to write or talk about the topics. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to data collection through the provision of questionnaires and interviews with 47 students of the Islamic Broadcasting Program at the Faculty of Islamic Religion at a private Islamic university in Bogor, Indonesia, in the English language course. From the data collected through a set of questionnaires, it can be concluded that, 1) the majority of respondents are interested in using Islamic materials to learn English; 2) the majority of respondents state that Islamic materials assisted them in improving their English language skills; 3) The majority of respondents are interested in using online Islamic resources. Furthermore, respondents stated that the multimodal approach to learning is very interesting, very good, and can help them to learn English. In addition, students wished that direct interaction between lecturers and students could continue to function well. Hence, the use of multimodal-based materials could provide interactive opportunities between lecturers and students.
