Quality of mechanized peanut digging in function of the auto guidance

Abstract: Within the context of precision agriculture, the use of automatic guidance is without a doubt one of the most popular tools among farmers, however, are few producers of peanuts using this technology, the benefits from this technology can bring significant gains for culture even more when thinking about reducing the indices of losses in the digging. Thus, it objective was to evaluate the variability of quantitative losses of peanut mechanized digging with use the autopilot, using the Statistical Process Control… Show more

“…Thus, Figure 2B, C, E, and F present 100% of points within the acceptable values by using the autopilot. This result is in accordance with Santos et al (2016), who obtained success for the mean execution error of the project and pass-to-pass error of the tractor-ratoon cutter assembly when using RTX, contrasting with the non-use of autopilot (Figure 2A and D), which presented only 24% (12 of 50) of points within the acceptable maximum limit (0.038 m). Regarding the variables used to characterize the ratoon cutting operation for S. levis control, the analysis with sequential graphs and control charts was used only with the purpose of studying the variability process.…”

“…Dentre os principais fatores que podem ocasionar as perdas invisíveis, Santos et al (2016) menciona que estão a regulagem correta da vibração da esteira e o material vegetal que passa sobre ela. A identificação elevada desse tipo de perda no momento do arranquio permitirá que o produtor faça ajuste na esteira vibratória.…”

“…In addition, there is a reduction of 10% in the average of the visible loss values. The reduction of visible loss levels is associated with an increase in material accumulat ion on the digging vibrating mat, wh ich, in a way, dampens the impact reducing the detachment of the pods (Santos et al, 2016).…”

“…In the field of peanut crop losses, ILDs occur with greater intensity than VLD, so that these have a strong correlation with TLDs (Santos et al, 2016). As soon as, in the average of each tillage, the total losses were considered low, considering the other studies in the literature, being 4.71 and 4.91% of the gross productivity in each preparation, conventional and conservationist, respectively.…”
