ÖzetAmaç: Ortalama trombosit hacmi (OTH) trombosit fonksiyon ve aktivasyonunun bir göstergesidir. Trombosit fonksiyon bozukluğunun intraserebral kanama (İSK) etiyolojisi ve mortalite üzerindeki etkisi tam olarak anlaşılamamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı İSK'lı hastalarda OTH'deki değişimi ve mortalite üzer-ine etkisini retrospektif olarak araştırmaktır. Ge reç ve Yön tem: Çalışmaya intraserebral kanamalı 66 hasta (erkek/kadın: 32/34, ortalama yaş: 61,9± 16,9) alındı. İSK'lı hastalar ilk 10 günde ölenler ve yaşayanlar olarak 2 gruba ayrıldı. Gruplar arasında OTH ve hematom hacmi karşılaştırıldı. Ayrıca İSK'lı hastalar yaş ve cinsiyet yönünden benzer sağlıklı gönül-lülerin (erkek/kadın: 27/17, ortalama yaş: 59,9 ±3,2) OTH değeri ve trombosit sayısı ile karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: İSK'lı hastaların ilk 24 saat içindeki OTH değerleri (8,33±1,27 fl) kontrol grubunun OTH değerlerine (7.76±1.14 fl) göre istatistiksel olarak yüksekti (p=0,018). İSK'lı hastaların ilk 24 saat içindeki trombosit değerleri (235,8±94,9 x10 3 /mL) kontrol grubunun trombosit değerlerine (279,1±94,9 x10 3 /mL) göre istatistiksel olarak düşüktü (p=0,022). İSK'lı hastalarda ilk 10 günde ölenler ile yaşayanlar arasındaki OTH ve trombosit değerleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark saptanmadı (p>0,05). İSK'lı hastalarda ilk 10 günde ölenlerin hematom volümü (31,1±33,7 ml) ile yaşayanların hematom volümü (8,7±13,4 ml) arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu (p<0,001). İSK hastaların hematom volümü ile OTH değeri arasında korelasyon bulunmadı. Sonuç: Ortalama trombosit hacmi İSK'lı hastalarda artmış olup bu durum trombosit fonksiyonlarındaki bozukluğa işaret edebilir. Bunun yanı sıra OTH artışı ile mortalite arasında bir ilişki bulmadık. The influence of platelet function disorders on the aetiology of intracerebral haemorrhages (ICH) and mortality is not clear yet. The purpose of this study is to investigate the change in the MPV values in patients with ICH and to observe its influence on mortality in a retrospective manner. Ma te ri al and Met hod: Sixty-six patients with intracerebral haemorrhage (32 males, 34 females; mean age: 61.9±16.9) were enrolled in the study. The trend of this factor was evaluated hematologically using serum mean platelets volume (MPV) values. Methods:Forty rats with a mean mass 247.7 g were used. MPV values were evaluated at 60 min (for groups A and C) and at 120 min (for groups B and D) of reoxygenation. Epo was provided only in groups C and D.Results:Epo administration non-significantly lowered the MPV levels by 0.12% +2.13% (p=0.9513). Reoxygenation time non-significantly augmented the MPV levels by 1.37%+2.11% (p=0.4873). However, Epo administration together with reoxygenation time non-significantly reduced the MPV levels by 0.27%+0.92% (p=0.7585). Conclusion:Epo administration had a non-significant short-time decline effect on MPV levels. SUMMARYObjective: Mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet distribution width (PDW) are parameters that indicate platelet volume. It is assumed that large platelets are enzymatically and metabolically more active than small platelets. The relationship between elevated MPV and PDW values and arterial thrombosis has been demonstrated, but their roles in venous thrombosis are not fully understood. While the platelet / lymphocyte ratio (PLR), which is considered to be an inflammatory indicator, is known to be associated with many diseases, there are only a few studies in venous thrombosis. For this reason, our aim in this study is to establish the relationship between MPV, PDW and PLR values and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). Method: Our study included 54 patients who were diagnosed with CVST in our clinic between January 2008 and September 2016, and 50 controls with similar age and sex. The patients and control groups were compared in terms of MPV, PDW and PLR values. In addition, the patient group was divided into two groups, according to parenchymal brain lesions, and the effect of MPV, PDW, and PLR on prognosis was also assessed. Results: While the MPV, PDW and PLR values were higher in the patient group compared to the controls, there was no significant difference between patients with and without parenchymal lesions. In addition, as MPV and PDW values for CVST development were determined as significant independent variables, optimal cut-off values were identified 8.85 for MPV, 15.75 for PDW and 168.53 for PLR in ROC analysis. Conclusions: As a result, MPV, PDW and PLR values were higher in patients with SVST than controls, however their prognostic significance was not determined. In addition, we may suggest that higher MPV and PDW values are new independent risk factors for CVST development. Artmış OPH ve PDG değerleri ile arteryel tromboz arasındaki ilişki gösterilmiştir ancak venöz trombozdaki yeri tam olarak bilinmemektedir. İnflamatuar bir gösterge kabul edilen platelet/ lenfosit oranının artışının(PLO) birçok hastalıkla ilişkisi bilinmekteyken venöz trombozda kullanımı ile ilgili az sayıda çalışma mevcuttur. Bu nedenle bu çalışmamızdaki amacımız OPH, PDG ve PLO değerleri ile serebral venöz sinüs trombozu(SVST) arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır.
