PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSES OF BLOOD AND IMMUNE ORGANS OF BROILER CHICKEN FED DIETARY BLACK CUMIN POWDER (Nigella sativa) DURING DRY SEASONS

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon fisiologi darah dan organ limfoid ayam broiler akibat pemberian jintan hitam selama musim kemarau. Show more

“…31 In NH 3 -exposed birds, damage to the tracheal membranes lowers the resistance of the birds which expose them to various secondary infections including Newcastle disease, E. coli infection and coccidiosis. 32 In a previous study conducted in our lab, increased leucocyte count was observed in the rabbits exposed to high NH 3 levels. 30 NH 3 is an environmental stressor, and according to Dhabher et al (1995), 33 stress causes a decrease in lymphocyte and increase in heterophil percentage.…”

“…The present study disagreed with the findings of Salam et al . [ 34 ], who found that feeding 20, 40, and 60 g/kg N. sativa Linn. seeds in broilers diet did not significantly affect on physical properties of blood.…”

“…Previous findings reported hemoglobin level by 6.65-7.40 g/dl (Hidayat et al, 2016) and 5.18-9.30 g/dl (Salam et al, 2013;Varmaghany et al, 2013;Sugiharto et al, 2015). The different hemoglobin level was owing to age and nutrition -the older the chickens, the higher the erythrocyte, hemoglobin, and hematocrit.…”
