Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Biji Genotipe Kedelai di Berbagai Intensitas Naungan

Abstract: ABSTRACT. Intensity and quality of sunlight received by plants AI26-1114-8-28 and IIj9-299-1-4 were considered as shade-tolerant up to 75% shade based on the stress index tolerance value (ITC).

“…The higher corn causes shading in soybeans, so the specific leaf area is higher than shadeless soybean leaves in monocultures. The specific leaf area may increase with light intensity [23] [24], but in another research, the specific leaf area increases precisely in shaded conditions [1]. Light affects plant growth and development by affecting the physical appearance of one leaf as well as the appearance of the whole plant [34].…”

“…Shading on intercropping can cause morpho-physiology changes in soybeans, such as increasing specific leaf area and size but lowering stem diameter and total plant dry matter [23]. The intensity of shade intercropping soybeans with corn by 75% increased plant height and specific leaf area, but there was a decrease in the number and area of leaves, the rate of light absorption, the rate of photosynthesis, the chlorophyll index of leaves, the number of filled pods and the weight of seeds per plant [24].…”

“…The growth is closely related to the potential interaction of soybean plants with the environment [10]. The results showed that shade intensity up to 75% increased plant height and leaf area specifically [14]. This shows that the level of shade can cause plants to experience etiolation directly, but plants with a good tolerance level to shade can grow normally, without experiencing damage to physiological processes.…”

“…According to [24], lack of light due to shade changes plant morpho-physiology, such as increasing specific leaf area, stem length and leaf width, but on the other hand decreases stem diameter and total dry matter. [28] stated that up to 75% shade increased plant height, leaf area, light absorption rate, photosynthesis rate, leaf chlorophyll index, number of filled pods, and seed weight per soybean plant. In general, the rate of increase in plant height was due to the lengthening of the stem segments (etiolation) according to the research of [17].…”
