Peritonite Fecal Em Ratos: Eficácia Da Lavagem Da Cavidade Peritoneal Com Solução De Cloreto De Sódio a 0,9%

Show more

“…although peritoneal washing is utilized by a large number of surgeons 23 . Peritoneal washing with physiological saline of peritonitic rats, evoked lower mortality compared to plain cleaning of the cavity with compresses 24 . In group 4 rats, when the local anesthetic was added to the saline, a better result was obtained, indicating that the solution with the local anesthetics was more efficient against peritonitis than saline alone.…”

“…There are reports of the use of saline solutions, acidic pepsin, carbolic acid, mercury chloride, salicylic acid, ethacryidine, water, camphor oil, camphor oil with ether, sodium hypochlorite, hypertonic glucose, alcohol, ether, prednisolone 13 , povidoneiodine, chlorhexidine, hydrogen peroxide and antibiotics 11 . The peritoneal lavage with saline solution has been used for many years and has shown favorable results 7 contaminating clean areas in cases of localized peritonitis, which, according to some authors, lavage is not the best management 11,12 .…”

“…Although the efficacy of peritoneal lavage is controversial in the medical literature, 19,20 a previous study conducted by the same author showed a significant reduction in mortality when local anesthetics were used in the peritoneum. 10 Local anesthetics increased survival in several studies using experimental models with mice 21 and dogs 22 , even when administered systemically.…”
