Growth curves are important for understanding the growth phase and speci c characteristics of farm animals. This study evaluated growth curve models to predict the age at puberty and growth rate of Ongole Grade cattle. The study used the weights of cattle from birth to 3 years old in 2011 to 2019 obtained from the Beef Cattle Research Station. The data were analyzed using three non-linear growth curve models: von Bertalanffy, logistic, and Gompertz. The coe cients of determination (R 2 ) of the growth equation for the respective models were 0.996, 0.981, and 0.992. The estimated age and body weight at puberty for each model were 6.43 months and 144.09 kg, 13.94 months and 164.082 kg, and 11.76 months and 169.571 kg, respectively. The Gompertz function best t the growth rate and exhibited the smallest standard deviation.

Taruna Mandiri is farmers group that sells cattle and organic fertilizer. Since the Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak, they have relied more on selling organic fertilizers. This research aims to analyze the economic value of selling organic fertilizers and understand the use of social media in selling fertilizers. Selection of the location in the Taruna Mandiri farmers group, Ngemplak District, Sleman Regency. Purposive sampling of 15 out of 40 members who are administrators and manage the manufacture and processing of fertilizers for sale. The research was conducted in a quantitative descriptive method. Primary data retrieval through direct interviews using a questionnaire tool. The primary data taken include respondents' characteristics, livestock ownership, and understanding of the use of social media. The results showed that with 55 cattle ownership, the economic value of selling fertilizer was IDR. 535,000/period or IDR. 2,140,000/month. Farmers group are interested in selling by online because it is useful for expanding the market, adding information, and at the same time promoting products. The social media platforms that farmers want are WhatsApp business, Instagram and Facebook but due to limited knowledge, farmers use the personal WhatsApp platform. The existence of a touch of technology, both in labeling and using the right social media platforms, is very necessary for the group to improve product quality and expand the consumer market.

Use laboratory animal for research purposes is often used especially in the fields of health research, food, agriculture, and livestock. The laboratory animal that is often used as research objects include rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, monkeys, and rats. Research in the field of livestock in animal breeding requires a long time to research and a large number of animals so mice can be used to apply it. The goal of research is determine effect of the selection program on parameters of mice body weight including weaning weight and adult weight. The research was held with Fancy mice keeping and selection implementation of weaning weight 21 days age (WW21) and 35 days age (AW35) which starts from 0 generation until 2nd generation. The data used in the selection of Fancy mice on 0 generation until 2nd generation each of 327 tails, 330 tails, and 263 tails. The result of the selection of Fancy mice to WW21 increased obtained WW21 G0 to G1 is 3.69 gram and WW21 G1 to G2 is 2.09 gram. Selection of Fancy mice to AW35 that result in AW35 G0 to G1 is 5.14 gram and AW35 G1 to G2 is 4.92 gram, which means selection is impacting increased WW21 and AW35 Fancy mice.
