Introduction: The educative actions in health promotion are intended to develop, in individuals, family and communities, the capacity for perception of their health needs and joint participation in their resolution, bearing in mind their possibilities. Education on the effectiveness of health promotion practices is an effective instrument, which has been implemented through different methodologies. The traditional health education model based on Paulo Freire's philosophy is widely used in the Brazil Unified Health System. Objective: Identify curiosity as a Freirian parameter of health education in primary care. Methods: This is an descriptive qualitative study carried out in the municipality of Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, Brazil. In all, 31 nurses from basic health units (UBS) and 12 users from the Unified Health System participated in a semi-structured and observational interview mediated by context interpretation in individuals who participated in educational groups. The organisation of the material collected for the search took place on the basis of Bardin's proposal and the analysis was based on the epistemological characteristics of Paulo Freire. Results: Traditional pedagogies were used during the development of the interviews. It was observed that the educational activities whith focus on disease are still an obstacle to promoting a critical awareness of users. Once the nurses were limited to this methodology and the users complied with the guidelines, favouring their naive curiosity, they followed the prescribed instructions mechanically and without understanding, possibly involving temporary behaviour changes. Objective: to systematize the knowledge produced about nursing performance in the face of adolescents' mental health needs. Method: integrative literature review, submitting the problem: what are the mental health needs of adolescents and the nursing care provided? Data collection was performed in the PubMed databases; CINAHL; SciELO; ScienceDirect; LILACS, in the month of April 2018. Were included 30 articles available in Portuguese, English or Spanish with full access and free of charge. The findings were grouped into thematic categories with review/synthesis of knowledge. Results: the sample consisted of articles predominantly in English and published between 1999 and 2018. The main mental health needs of adolescents are related to depression, anxiety, stress, drug use and dependence, eating disorders, among others. Nursing cares include health education, groups, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal relationships, and activities that involve adolescents, their families, peers and the school environment. It was evidenced that nurses work with different approaches and intervene through the nursing process and physical activity practices, among other tools that are accessible to them. Conclusion: this review allows professionals to formulate new actions that are based on the adolescent's real mental health needs, which are neglected, because they do not attend so much the health services. The need for studies with higher level of scientific evidence is mentioned.

A cirurgia é uma das alternativas terapêuticas para solucionar um problema de saúde. Sabe-se que os pacientes apresentam as mais diversas reações psicoemocionais no período pré-operatório. A assistência de enfermagem pré-operatória representa o principal instrumento para o estabelecimento de uma relação de confiança entre o enfermeiro e o paciente, buscando proporcionar a redução de reações traumáticas e uma melhoria da qualidade de vida. Objetiva-se conhecer as lembranças e reações psicoemocionais de pacientes durante a consulta de enfermagem pré-operatória de artroplastia total de quadril. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa. Realizou-se entrevistas com oito pacientes e os relatos foram transcritos no período de junho a agosto de 2019 para uso do método de análise de conteúdo. Originou-se duas categorias conforme relato dos pacientes, a primeira trouxe as reações e vínculos estabelecidos entre o profissional enfermeiro e o paciente durante a consulta ambulatorial e a segunda mostrou as percepções daqueles orientados durante as visitas domiciliares. Percebeu-se a responsabilização do paciente na sua recuperação e no seu cuidado com a saúde mental. Há a necessidade de novas pesquisas que abordem os transtornos psíquicos em diversas áreas, não somente em ambientes pré-cirúrgicos, instigando reflexões para construção de novas práticas de trabalho para proporcionar um atendimento qualificado, efetivo e de excelência.
