Superstition and adab are among the many local pearls of wisdom in Minangkabau. Superstition is a statement that contains a supernatural meaning while adab is a condition that describes someone's unethical behavior. Contextually, there is a relationship between superstition and adab. The superstition that is formed in the life of the Minangkabau people is reconstructed from a civilization. The purpose of this paper is to describe and prove this relationship so that a common thread can be drawn regarding the relationship between superstition and Minangkabau people's manners. This research approach uses a qualitative approach. This study uses categorization techniques to reveal and interpret the data that has been collected. The data in question are the superstitions of the Minangkabau people which are reflected in adab, namely the manners of sitting, standing, walking, and behaving. Therefore, it is important to carry out an in-depth study to reveal the presence of superstitious interventions in Minangkabau society from the perspective of adab formation

This study aims to describe and explain the role of character education in helping the development of a second language in gifted children based on sociolinguistic studies. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. The data in this study were obtained from the analysis of conversations or dialogues and the development of the Dini Suryani language of third-grade students at SDN 27/III Lolo Kecil with their peers, interacting in class with the teacher and while in the family environment. Researchers found that early language development is different from normal children, who tend to have a neat and well-structured use of language. Dini also uses varied and appropriate vocabulary according to specific contexts. Dini also applies the use of intonation and facial expressions in interacting in communicating. However, Dini has a personality problem that is high egoistic, such as when she wants something, she will do anything, even if she forces her will. To maximize the ability of early character education is the right supporting step or method. Thus, Dini can become a gifted child with a good personality.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji tentang struktur superstisi masyarakat Melayu Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura Kecamatan Rumbai Timur Kota Pekanbaru terkait kategori tubuh manusia dan obat-obatan rakyat. Superstisi merupakan pernyataan yang berisikan hal-hal yang memiliki makna supernatural yang mana hal tersebut bertujuan untuk mendidik perilaku anak pada zaman dulu. Superstisi termasuk dari bagian folklor yang berkaitan dengan suatukepercayaan yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun, biasanya terdapat adanya tanda (sign) atau sebab-akibat (cause) dan diperkirakan akan ada akibatnya (result). Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang lebih menekankan pada pengamatan dan substansi makna dari objek kajian yang dikaji. Data penelitian ini adalah ungkapan superstisi masyarakat Melayu pada kategori tubuh manusia dan obat-obatan rakyat di Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura Kecamatan Rumbai Timur Kota Pekanbaru. Dengan menggunakan teknik berupa observasi, pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara yang direkam langsung menggunakan teknik pancing dan teknik simak. Hasil dari penelitian ini, maka ditemukan 25 ungkapan takhayul yang keseluruhan data berstruktur dua bagian di Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura Kecamatan Rumbai Timur Kota Pekanbaru.
