Pandemic Covid-19 membawa dampak yang cukup signifikan terhadap proses belajar mengajar. Didasari perubahan cara belajar secara luring menjadi daring baik pada mata kuliah teori maupun praktik, tentu perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus dalam proses penyampaian materi perkuliahan. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya pengembangan media khusus yang dapat dipelajari oleh mahasiswa secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang, mengimplementasikan, mengetahui kelayakan media, kepraktisan media dan keefektivan media serta respon mahasiswa terhadap pengembangan media video tutorial pada mata kuliah teknologi menjahit untuk materi cara mengoperasikan mesin jahit. Video ini dikembangkan guna mendukung pembelajaran daring dimasa pandemic virus corona. Pengembangan media video tutorial menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D melalui 4 tahapan yaitu tahap Define (pendefinisian), tahap Design (perancangan), tahap Development (pengembangan) dan tahap Disseminate (menyebarkan). Penelitian dan pengembangan ini melalui tahap uji validitas, uji praktikalitas dan uji efektifitas. Hasil penelitian terhadap uji validitas oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dengan skor 3.75 pada rerata 3.20 – 4.00, maka aspek yang dinilai dikategorikan sangan jelas atau “Sangat valid”. uji praktikalitas sebesar 89.1 % dengan kategori “Sangat praktis”. dan uji efektifitas pada faktor motivasi balejar mahasiswa sebesar 85.12% dengan kategori “Sangat tinggi” dan hasil belajar psikomotor mahasiswa dengan perolehan nilai 80 dengan kriteria “Baik”.
This case study explores the Indonesian learners' reading strategies and identifies high and low-group learners' reading strategies. Semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and open-ended questions were triangulated for validity and reliability data. Several findings were revealed. The Indonesian learners read critically and varied through cognitive, metacognitive, and affective strategies. They applied more cognitive strategies than metacognitive and affective strategies, which was less helpful and less encouraged to think critically. Technology advances, self- concept, and time have affected the strategies used. High and low-group learners also read differently in terms of cognitive, metacognitive, and affective strategies. The high group learners read efficiently, critically with various reading strategies, while the low group learners are more literal, attractive, but straightforward, and specific in reading strategy. This implied that students need to be facilitated with proper reading strategies and reading facilities and use metacognitive strategy to enable critical thinking and affective strategy to overcome anxiety, fear, and relaxation. The socio-cultural strategy needs to be used by learners to reach the four skills required by the Indonesian new curriculum. Meanings were shaped by social interaction and cultural context, which then created fun learning and a conducive learning environment.
Background: Anak Dalam Tribal Community lives in an isolated area with meagre living pattern and numerous limitations. This condition affects eating pattern and nutritional status of underfives of Anak Dalam Tribe.Objective: To identify eating pattern, nutrient intake, and nutritional status of underfives of Anak Dalam Tribe at Nyogan, District of Muaro Jambi, Province of Jambi.Method: The study was observational with cross sectional design. Population of the study were underfives of Anak Dalam Tribe aged 24–59 months at Nyogan, District of Muaro Jambi, Province of Jambi. Data obtained consisted of eating pattern, nutrient intake and nutritional status, characteristics of parents and subject as well as general overview of the location of the study. Chi-square test was used to find out the relationship between nutrient intake and nutritional status.Results: As much as 54.2% of children of Anak Dalam Tribe had varied types of foods and 52.1% of them had good eating frequency; 45.8% had incomplete types of foods and 47.9% had poor eating frequency. Average energy and protein intake of underfives of Anak Dalam Tribe were 1,020.93 ± 298.68 kcal/day and 28.49 ± 8.08 g/day. Most of the children had adequate energy and protein intake (> 80% nutrition sufficiency); i.e. 60.4% and 77.1% subsequently. Those who had inadequate energy and protein intake were 39.6% and 22.9% subsequently. Inadequate nutritional status of underfives of Anak Dalam Tribe using indicator of weight/age was 16.7%, height/age was 12.5%, and weight/height was 8.3%.Conclusion: There was significant relationship between nutrient intake (energy and protein) and nutritional status of underfives of Anak Dalam Tribe.
This mixed-method research used questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and open-ended questions as the instrument of data collection. Twenty-five samples were selected randomly from 112 populations. The objectives of the study were to explore online reading strategies in academic reading by foreign language learners during the Covid 19 outbreak. This study revealed that: Using online reading strategies by foreign language learners were varied in four different types, namely global strategy, problem-solving strategy, support strategy, and soci0-effective strategy. Motivation influenced foreign language learners' online reading strategies for 13.65% in academic reading during the Covid 19 outbreak; meanwhile, age and gender influenced less. Motivation influenced online reading strategies used by foreign language learners during the Covid 19 outbreak for two purposes: integrated and instrumental motivations. These two types of motivation influenced the choices and use of learners' online reading strategies during the Covid 19 outbreak.
This study aimeds to describe the form of mental revolution in NyanyianPanjangBujang Si Undang which is viewed from six aspects tunjuk ajar, namely faith to God, honesty, intelligence, integrity, caring, and nationality. This study was a qualitative research using descriptive method. The data in this study were the character of educational value from the narrator, characters' utterance and characters' act which werecollected through format of data inventory. The data were analyzed based on Miles dan Hubeman's models through three steps; data reduction, data display and conclusion. There are six forms mental revolution on the characters of educational value in NyanyianPanjangBujang Si Undangnamely faith to God, honesty, intelligence, integrity, caring, and nationality. Therefore, NyanyianPanjangBujang Si Undang as oral tradition inheritance can be used as the alternative in supporting the education from local wisdom of Melayu society to solve the problems of morality and ethic.
