“…Since then, the web blight of mungbean has become one of the most serious problems of this crop in Northern India causing extensive damage to mungbean. In order to reduce the web blight severity in Mungbean, a number of fungicides have been tried and among them Propiconazole (Akhtar et al, 2014) and Carbendazim (Jhamaria and Sharma, 2002) have been found highly effective in controlling the disease.…”

“…Trichoderma is a pragmatic approach for plant disease management in various crops and also can be utilized in other purposes like biofertilizers, in bio-remediation, plant growth promoting agents etc. (Kumar et al, 2009;Srivastava et al, 2009;Kumar et al, 2014;Kumar et al, 2015 andJain et al, 2016). Seed treatment and soil application of T. viride effectively reduced growth of R. solani and also promoted plant growth in urd and mungbean (Dubey and Patel, 2002;Dubey et al, 2011).…”

“…Current Status and Prospect of Web Blight of Cowpea: A Review + trifloxystrobin 25% WG seed treatment (1.5 g/kg -1 seed) and soil drenching (1.5g/ lt -1 water) was found most effective in minimizing the web blight incidence (10.76%), disease inhibition (83.70%) and gave highest seed yield (14.20 q/ ha -1 ) in mungbean followed by seed treatment of carbendazim 12% + mancozeb 63% WP @ 2 g/kg -1 and soil drenching of carbendazim 12% + mancozeb 63% WP @ 2g lt -1 water (12.60%), (80.91%) and (13.50 q/ha -1 )as compared to control (66.00% and 5.70 q/ha-1) respectively. Akhtar et al, (2014) revealed that propiconazole @ 0.1%, which is marketed as Tilt 25EC, proved to be the best as it reduced severity index of web blight of greengram and blackgram and provide higher grain yield. Basandrai et al, (2016) evaluated more than ten fungicides as foliar spray against web blight of urd bean.…”
