Successful collaboration between clinicians is particularly relevant regarding the quality of care process. In this context, the utilization of hybrid intelligence, such as conversational agents (CAs), is a reasonable approach for the coordination of diverse tasks. While there is a great deal of literature involving collaboration, little effort has been made to integrate previous findings and evaluate research when applying CAs in hospitals. By conducting an extended and systematic literature review and semi-structured expert interviews, we identified four major challenges and derived propositions where in-depth research is needed: 1) audience and interdependency; 2) connectivity and embodiment; 3) trust and transparency; and 4) security, privacy, and ethics. The results are helpful for researchers as we discuss directions for future research on CAs for collaboration in a hospital setting enhancing team performance. Practitioners will be able to understand which difficulties must be considered before the actual application of CAs.

In the last decade, conversational agents have been developed and adopted in several application domains, including education, healthcare, finance, and tourism. Nevertheless, chatbots still need to address several limitations and challenges, especially regarding personalization, limited knowledge-sharing capabilities, multi-domain campaign support, real-time monitoring, or integration of chatbot communities. To cope with these limitations, many approaches based on multi-agent systems models and technologies have been proposed in the literature, opening new research directions in this context. To better understand the current panorama of the different chatbot technology solutions employing agent-based methods, this Systematic Literature Review investigates the different application domains, end-users, requirements, objectives, technology readiness levels, designs, strengths, limitations, and future challenges of the solutions found in this scope. The results of this review are intended to provide researchers, software engineers, and innovators with a complete overview of the current state of the art and a discussion of the open challenges.

The use of social networks in conjunction with e-learning platforms has been explored in order to create more interesting and collaborative learning environments for students. This synergy has become a new trend in the deployment of Digital Information and Communication Technologies in education. However, the existing literature explores how learning environments can be enriched by social networks or social tools. In our work, we propose to adopt the oppositewe use social networks to access or explore an e-learning environment. In this article we present a feasibility assessment on the use of the WAS (Write and Solve) agent to access features of the TelEduc e-learning environment. To perform the evaluation we applied a questionnaire to TelEduc users. The results show that the integration between the agent and the e-learning environment is desired and considered useful by the respondents.Resumo. O uso conjunto de redes sociais e plataformas de e-learning tem sido explorado com o intuito de criar ambientes de aprendizagem mais interessantes e colaborativos para os alunos, constituindo uma nova tendência de uso das Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação (TDIC) na educação. No entanto, os trabalhos encontrados na literatura partem de ambientes de aprendizagem que são enriquecidos pelas redes sociais ou por ferramentas sociais. Em nosso trabalho, propomos adotar o caminho inversoisto é, usar as redes sociais para acessar e/ou explorar um ambiente de elearning. Neste artigo apresentamos uma avaliação de viabilidade sobre o uso do agente WAS (Write and Solve) para acessar funcionalidades do ambiente de e-learning TelEduc. Para realizar a avaliação aplicamos um questionário aos usuários do TelEduc. Os resultados mostram que a integração entre o agente e o ambiente de e-learning é desejada e considerada útil pelos respondentes.
