The study aims to contribute to the analysis of the implementation of the Project More Doctors for Brazil in the Indigenous Special Health Districts, with data produced by opinion research developed in communities that are served by Project's physicians. The present analysis presents a set of data produced by a questionnaire applied to indigenous communities and then compared with the general universe of the same research in municipalities. The study identifies a significant increase in the number of physicians working in indigenous health, a positive perception of satisfaction with the project pointing out a non-exclusive relationship between access to biomedical services and the use of indigenous therapeutic practices. It also demonstrates the need to expand research on the consequences of the More Doctors Program, especially on qualitative and ethnographic bases.

The Permanent Program for Monitoring of Indian Students (PPAEIND) aims to serve indigenous students in the State of Mato Grosso (MT) who join the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) in undergraduate courses, through special and differential selection process. The program provides a Faculty Mentor as a link between the university's indigenous and non-indigenous students. This is an experience report of a Faculty Mentor in the nursing course at the Campus Rondonópolis, where two vacancies were filled by indigenous students in 2007. The experience to work as Faculty Mentor brought a challenge of cultural diversity in relation to the knowledge of care. Therapeutic communication was an effective tool in the process.

This article aims to understand the proposal of Susan Moller Okin on the incompatibility between feminism and multiculturalism, considering the experience of the indigenous women's organization in Roraima, based on the concepts of gender, public and private and multiculturalism. It was based on the social construction of gender and its implications on the unequal division of labor, to understand how this contributed to the division of the public and private spheres, and maintenance of the patriarchal society. It was sought to understand how this division affects the right of women in minority groups, through an analysis of the indigenous women's movement in the State of Roraima, in the north of Brazil, as well as pointing out an alternative to the problem presented by Okin. Finally, it is also considered necessary to protect the identity of minority groups and guarantee equal opportunities for ethnic minority groups. In this way, the inclusion of women in the spaces of power and decision making in these groups must be made compatible with respect to the relevance that this woman confers to her belonging to the group.
